  1. PSG v Lorient as well for anyone interested.
  2. Standard. Possibly the worst Roma game this season. Chievo's plan was clear. Can't blame them.
  3. Jermaine Defoe on a surprisingly regular basis.

    Football pet hates

Players who are so one-sided they'd rather very awkwardly use their stronger foot when using the other foot would be so much easier, and ultimately you end up wasting a chance because of it.
  5. 1-2. Plenty of them will give you a chance of beating them. I think you'll lose 2-1, though.
  6. These goalies, ey. Villarreal concede from what can only be described as a monumental goalkeeper fuck-up.
  7. Looking forward to watching Roma later. Probably be a scrappy 1-0 win now that I'm thinking they'll score loads.
  8. So yeah, if anyone's at all undecided about this, let that above post put any worries about footballing ability to bed. There are certainly some good players but plenty more who you wouldn't describe as the next Ronaldinho (myself, begrudgingly, included). There is however a Ginger Pirlo running amok. It'll also inevitably turn into a few pints afterwards (pre/post NUFC match), probably leading to a night out. It's a class day/night and well worth coming along if you haven't already been along.
  9. I'm not sure that gaping space does justice to the lack of organisation. It was freestyle. Barca would be proud.
  10. Can't help feel he could have been a great striker had he not gone to Real. There's an excellent striker in him, I'm convinced of that. Suarez is on a different planet to him though currently.
  11. Time for more Tom Huddlestone quarterback antics. Read: gradually drifting forward and recklessly abandoning defensive duties. I feel our OCK-led tactics were spot on last time. I can't, however, remember what formation we were attempting to play. Think it ended up something like a 3-1-2-4, if that exists.
  12. GW10: Newcastle 1-3 Chelsea Fulham 1-2 Man Utd Hull City 1-2 Sunderland Man City 3-0 Norwich Stoke City 1-1 Southampton West Brom 1-0 Crystal Palace West Ham 1-3 Aston Villa Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool Everton 2-2 Tottenham Cardiff City 1-2 Swansea
  13. Latest column from Vickery. Interesting read as always, would be interested to see if Felipao thinks the comments are fair.
  14. In the sense that you were less bad, yeah. You had the momentum behind you, so I'd echo Brummie's comments of genuinely being confused how you managed to lose it. It was a good goal, but still. Why wouldn't he have 'the temerity' to do that, like? It's a perfectly legitimate complaint, which makes it the perfect excuse. I can't see many managers not mentioning a questionable decision that led to a winning goal. This is in no way a defence of anyone or anything, but of all the legitimate complaints from yesterday, this ranks near the bottom. It epitomised desperation. You'd hardly expect him to go "yeah, we were crap", but I think in the context of losing back-to-back derbies for the first time in however long it is (many decades?) and also to Sunderland in one of their lowest ebbs in years, to point to a refereeing decision that was in the other half is something that will very knowingly rub people up the wrong way and, generally, is a pretty preposterous excuse. It was entirely unnecessary and further solidifies his reputation as a serial excuse-maker. It was desperate.
  15. I can't believe he had the temerity in his post-match interview to use the free kick in the build up to their 2nd goal as an excuse. Quite astonishing, really. Can certainly see why people are livid with him.
  16. Oh I mean your record points one.
  17. Love me some actual irony. My mate works in Inverness and was at the match, said he ended up being on the same dancefloor later on as Gary McAllister. One of those surreal yet wonderful moments in life.
  18. What price you get on your QPR bet?
  19. Had a great night on the horses backing at Wolverhampton last night, ended up around £180 up. Today, I really fancy Pinzolo to win for Godolphin in the RPT. Pricewise, Tom Segal, was on the Morning Line today and he tipped George Rooke in the 5.30. However, the bookies are shit scared of Pricewise and it's now 4-1 from 10-1. Pinzolo was the first bet I made for today. on at 6/1. 9/2 best price currently.
  20. Paddy Power - 5+ PL acca, if it doesn't win, money returned as a free bet. Get on it.
