St. Mirren 0-2 Newcastle (FT) post match pigs**t from p17
Interpolic replied to Skirge's topic in Football
He hardly ever plays. Will be really pissed off if he's injured again. Makes Steven Taylor look a reliable squad member. -
Holy fucking shit, if that's true. New levels.
-
Then Clark brings us back up against all odds, starts brilliantly to then be sacked 8 games in and replaced with Curbishley as we needed more experience.
-
The fact Llambias - previously Ashley's right hand man and one of the most odious characters ever to be associated with the club - felt he had to resign is testament to this. Ashley is the biggest drama queen in the history of English football, constantly backstabbing and playing games with people to prove he's a ruthless owner.
-
But we'll hopefully get away with it though so it's no bother. Maximising our chances of relative success by getting new players through the door early isn't of much interest to us, especially when we've just spent money on a few players in January. Most clubs naturally want to push on but the squad and league position and cup progression is secondary to insane thriftiness for us as a club. Same as it ever was under Ashley, the sad thing is that I've become used to it.

I was more disappointed the first time Solano left, since the 2nd time was a bit weird and seemed completely driven by him.
-
Those teeth must be a problem whether he's on the pitch or not.

I'd be peeved if I lost a ball tbh, can see where he's coming from.

What does this mean? They've had a massively better side than you lot for most of the last 20 years, get over it. Sure they have. No one has denied it. they have great domestic record (though poor since 2004)...but they are not a team that can gloat about their European pedigree. Qualifying for a competition is not an achievement, actually winning it (OR at least coming close) is an achievement. Yea, they've been in CL for 15 years in a row. we've probably been in 9 CLs at the same time period (too lazy to check the exact number), yet we've won the whole f***ing thing, and have reached more semi-finals and finals than them. Fact is, they will never come even close to winning the CL under Wenger. He's always been tactically inept in Europe. Jokes aside, I just f***ing hate Arsenal. Probably goes back to 2007 when their fans were singing still calling us "Liverhoof", their fans always gloating how they are the saviours of beautiful football and how every other team in PL except them is boring. And I watch football for football, not for the positive net spend on the balance sheet. Anyways, even if Suarez joins them, he'll jump the ship to Spain at earliest opportunity. Arsenal's "BIG SPENDING, WE HAVE SO MUCH MONEY" summer so far only consists of Yaya Sanogo. They were in the final in 2006 (I think). You don't get much closer than that. One final in 15 years. Pretty poor IMO, considering some of the teams Arsene has had in his disposal during this time period. They've also won the league 3 times and never fallen out of the top 4 in that time, keep cherry-picking achievements to make out Suarez should stay though.

That's quality.

He hasn't got any authority at the club man, he can play the hard man and seek answers all he likes.

Got any photos to back that up? Quick wikipedia search on zero hour contracts has this line : " In 2011, such contracts were prevalent in many parts of the UK economy:" Reckon there are many employers of 20k+ where 90 per cent of workers are on them? I don't know either way, I'd be surprised though.
-
"The four biggest supermarkets in Britain, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and Morrisons, said they do not use zero-hour contracts. Other retailers to confirm that they do not employ staff on these terms include Argos, B&Q, Homebase, John Lewis and Marks & Spencer." So how many companies does that leave who do have zero hour contracts? They are ridiculously common, I can't believe the Guardian is printing this stuff. I don't think they surveyed every company in the country and they were the only ones who didn't do them.

If an even better club comes in then I'm sure he'll join them.

Ireland have rocked one for ages. I guess most countries see the national shirt as something worth not tarnishing with a company name. Plus the numbers on the front thing. Yeah, you're probably right. Still fairly surprising though and had forgotten about Ireland. When it gets to the World Cup and that I doubt FIFA would stand for it either, since it's all about them making money and nowt else.
-
How come sponsors haven't made their way on to international shirts yet?

It's actually quite unbelievable that we've just seen an entire season with Jonas on the wing for the vast majority after he'd been so decent in central midfield. It's another one to add to Pardew's mental deficiency list, any cunt can see that he's not a winger but persist we must, because he offers something defensively or something.
-
I love Jonas too and think he could do a fine job as a central midfielder (not first choice if everyone is fit). Don't see what's changed about his game so much since the 433 near the end of 11/12 when he was performing well to make that not the case. The fact he's still getting named in the team as one of our furthest forward players on the wing despite the fact he's never beat a man or created/scored a goal for ages is an absolute joke though. I'm really worried we won't buy another winger, the people running the show at NUFC don't appear to have fully-functioning eyes.
