  1. I know that this isn’t the point you’re making, but I’ve heard it countless times from people who refuse to watch women’s football because the quality isn’t there, yet will gladly pay the same if not more to go and watch non-league football. I’m. It saying people should forgo non-league football and watch lasses football, but you don’t go to North Shields vs Heaton Stannington and hear people saying ‘It’s shit, it’s nothing like Newcastle United vs Arsenal’. The reason being is that people are able to accept that the difference in class between those levels and treat it almost like a different sport. If you stop comparing to what you watch on TV between big clubs, then you’ll start to enjoy it. It’s frustrating as fuck because you automatically think they are going to make the right decision, or have the ability to finish a chance etc, and they don’t, but just think back to Steve Bruce’s NUFC, you’ll be fine.
  2. So Arsenal get a soft penalty, but we don’t get a nailed on freekick? Got to give the Asian plastics the result they want though I guess?
  3. Yeah, we’ve really been worthy of a draw, a soft penalty is the difference. We know that we are capable of competing with these teams, but lack squad depth.
  4. This is why we need Stoke back in the league. They’ll sharp sort that out.
  5. One is held up by a work permit, the other presumably won’t be released by his club until the transfer window has closed.
  6. Wasn’t there a high profile case in Rugby Union where a player hid a razor blade and cut himself to make it look like he was injured?
  7. Just go to HR and say that they are accusing you being a human rights abuse sympathiser and by extension a human rights abuser yourself. Say that whenever you try to get involved with the topic of football with your colleagues it keeps coming up. If they want to talk about human rights abuses, let them start with a talk to HR about your rights at work.

Would it not be related to how the club sold the Stack to themselves for PSR?
  9. It would be great if the commentator stopped calling Willock Elanga.
  10. This. We have been competitive and there has been examples of a high press from us. Add in that it’s basically a humid rainforest there, and it’s a far cry from the shit I travelled 3 for last Saturday.
  11. Premier League top 6 club playing in Asia, do you honestly think they weren’t going to get helping hands?
  12. Staveley was against us building a new stadium. We might be further along in getting a new training ground, but stadium wise we might have ended up with a simple Gallowgate extension which isnmt future proofed.
  13. The risk of them selling him or loaning him out 6-12 months down the line is too big though. Heck Duran has been loaned out and he only signed in January.

His mam won’t let him have her credit card.
  15. Arsenal had a game there yesterday. Safe to say that their fans are already in and around the stadium. Not to mention how many fans Arsenal will have because of their years of exposure compared to ours.

Does he say 89k? In all fairness I heard a while back that they wanted to push between 90k-100k. This was before Man Utd started talking about a 100k capacity. The general feeling was that they wanted to go very high, with the aim of still having a big attendance (80k-ish) when pushed back. This was all before talk of a 65k capacity stadium started, and since then the talk of pushing to 70k.

    Why no playoffs?

Allegedly the NFL want to create a European division. They want to increase their revenue to $25bn per year, they currently get $11bn in domestic revenue already. The super league will happen, the closed Premier League will happen all in the chase for those figures.
  18. Yeah, it’s not classed as genuine football revenue, so it can’t be used on players either in transfers or wages. We have done this many times before, and it is how Staveley’s shares ended up being diluted which resulted in her leaving the club.
