  1. Got back an hour ago. 2 half teams each half from us really, with 4 of our key players missing overall. Celtic are further into their pre-season than us, gifting them a penalty (was it a penalty?), and Pope gifting them a 2-0 lead just before half time gave us a little much to do. I actually think if we had started the 2nd half with our first team out, we would have still won. They got 1 on the counter in the 2nd half, then after that they changed their whole team and their energy levels were above ours. On any other day we should still beat them with ease. We learn’t nothing that we don’t already know. Krafth, Lascelles, and others are not good enough. Pope is a liability with his kicking as well as sometimes coming out of goal, and we struggled to break down a team who sit back. There is a class sandwich shop next to their stadium that costs very little, and Glaswegians are good people. Fuck their whole club being some Irish Republican vessel, and fuck Celtic for doing shit to gets people’s backs up like shining bright lights right into the away crowd constantly, and not even offering to show or announce our lineups. It’s like the club purposely went out of their way to try and bait our fans into a reaction.
  2. Yeah, I ordered yesterday.
  3. That’s good, I thought that she signed for Stoke though?
  4. Yeah, but they are still allowed on the sleeves.
  5. This. If the press actually knew about stuff, we’d have even more stories and updates than we already do. I don’t even believe most of what’s said today. Someone has claimed that Liverpool are his only choice, purely based on Liverpools stature, and everyone has piled on. It’s vast difference from yesterday when they were saying that he wanted to come to us. They make it up as they go along, let’s not forget that that the majority of them share an office with the guys telling you how people fleeing war are the reason why the country is fucked, and that we should get into more wars to change things and it has fuck all to do with the people who own the media outlets being in charge of the country and asset stripping it.
  6. Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if it was him. Sounds equally as weasel like.
  7. Alex Crook knows absolutely nothing, and whenever I see him I can’t help but be reminded of the guy at uni who was fat, sweat 100% of the time, had greasy hair, had a drunken farts smell coming from him, yet the lasses in my class loved him because he was gay despite in his own words saying ‘I don’t even like gay people, it’s a means to an end’. He looks exactly like him.
  8. Actually the land has a much higher book value, Ashley sold it on the cheap, and the company who bought it ran into financial difficulties and bluffed about starting building works on the site in order to entice NUFC to buy it off them, again as a discounted market rate. Also if you sell a business, the general rule of thumb is that you times either to profit or revenue by 10 to get an indication on it’s market value. The Stack could have a market value of about £90m, and that is without considering any future growth.
  9. Davey gate tribute shirts will be enough for Adidas to release it.
  10. I dislike his right leaning politics and views, but he speaks a lot of sense as a businessmen, and has been against FFP and PSR for quiet a while now.
  11. It puts pressure on clubs. In Isak’s case, it makes Isak know that Liverpool are after him, so there for it could lead to Isak asking for a transfer or holding out for an official approach. It also puts us under pressure in contract negotiations.
  12. This is why we need to buy players like Ekitike, and keep Isak. We are creating a club to compete, to cement our position in the top 4-5 instead of sharing it every other season with Aston Villa and only really competing in the cups. It’s exactly why Liverpool are trying to blackmail us. This is the moment they feared would happen when they tried to prevent our takeover.
  13. The guy is single handedly destroying any Irish unionist argument there is.
  14. Call their bluff, and even if they do go for Ekitike, we should try our best to get him.
  15. It’s going to be funny when the Saudi’s find their way into the NFL to be honest.
  16. £100m per year for the majority of the City football groups clubs (NYCFC have a shirt deal tied in with the MLS). Tomes that by 10 years.
  17. I honestly don’t think we’ll sell to them. I think part of talks we’ll have is that if he has another good season, he’ll have his pick of Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG, or to a lesser extent, Bayern Munich.
  18. A years worth of £288k to add to Isak’s wages.
  19. Before then. Liverpool fans on social media saying they will win Isak for the onesies they are offering because he’ll force a move. This is a club who a year ago were rejected by one of the best midfielders who played for them in the modern era to become their manager, instead opting to stay at Bayer Leverkusen, and a few weeks ago lost one of their own young prospects who grew up as a Liverpool fan to go to Real Madrid after refusing to sign a new contract. Salah stayed because they offered him a stupid wage that only the Saudi’s would stop, and I still think he’ll end up in Saudi, and no one actually wants VVD as he’s injury prone, and as soon as he leaves Liverpool will receive a red card every other game.
  20. I also think the fact that we are not as big in stature is also a reason why we reject any approach. For where we want to be, we can’t keep selling our best players to clubs who we are aiming to compete against. Alongside that, it will be damaging to our sponsorship/commercial deals. People think we can sell him for £150m because he costs us £70m, we need to make a significant profit to replace him, and also need to set a barometer above what £100m players are these days. No, £100m bought Arsenal a defensive midfielder from West Ham a few years ago, £100m bought Grealish from Aston Villa 5 years ago who is now surplus to requirements. £150m doesn’t get you possibly the best forward in Europe behind Mbappe.
  21. I actually think Ekitike alongside Isak, and we have about the same chance as Liverpool do. Liverpool were nothing special last season, nothing for us to fear. Heck we beat them in one of their biggest days last season, and were robbed of beating them at home. We outplayed them twice in 3 games and have went toe to toe with them in recent seasons. A little bit of squad depth and we are right in there, maybe not a title favourite, but within the talk.
  22. This. I don’t think we’ll sell to a domestic rival. I also believe we’ll want a significant fee upfront, which Liverpool won’t want to pay.
