  1. Like the FA Cup, they always get picked because only the televised games in the U.K. are shown abroad, and they kind of have to have every single Man Utd game available for the foreign market. They shouldn’t, the League, and the FA should be encouraging an uptake in fans across the board, but TV distributors demand Man Utd.
  2. Yeah, likely to change in the coming years. I’d imagine they will want to expand the WSL to more teams, and more clubs are backing their women’s teams.
  3. I’ve banged the dum for the lasses a little while now. Whilst I only go to the odd game here and there, I have to admit it’s a good atmosphere for families. It’s much more friendlier, and welcoming to families than say non-league, and obviously much more accessible than the mens team. You can’t compare them to the mens team, I’m sorry, it’s naturally different, and I’ve said it before, unfair to do so. Watching them, and comparing them to the mens team is like watching non-league and saying they would never be able to do it in the Premier League, or watching Futsal and saying they would never be able to make it on a full sized pitch. You have to accept that it’s different, and just desire for the lasses to be the best they can be, rather than always comparing them to the men. In my opinion, the people who are derogatory or look down on the women’s game, are generally the people who have never seen a woman’s match, not watched one for years, or watched 20 minutes of one, and will never watch it again. Basically the woman’s games biggest critics, are the people not watching the women’s game.
  4. Aye, rather see the Man City fans who were following them in League One when Man Utd, and Liverpool were mopping up titles to see another title win, then Arsenal fans who a few years ago were saying an FA Cup isn’t enough to class as success to see 1 title win.
  5. Go on Arsenal fans, go fucking on, start your fucking whinge fest you pathetic mute librarian pricks.
  6. Get the fuck in! I fucking hate Arsenal.
  7. Nah, not at all. They are North London, they will bottle it. Just when you think they won’t, is when they do.
  8. Heads are down, even early in the 2nd half.
  9. Merse, we need to send players off left, right, and centre if that’s what to takes for them to finally stop doing those fouls, and time wasting. Lets not forget, that Arsenal were one of the ones arguing for these yellows for such offensives.
  10. It wasn’t a red card, it was a 2nd yellow.
  11. This, I hate people saying ‘It’s soft for a 2nd yellow’. No, a yellow is a yellow, it doesn’t matter if it’s your 1st or 2nd. Arsenal fans are going to be whinging about this for fucking decades, especially if Man City go on to win.
  12. Trust it not to fucking work. It’s just taking me to the highlights of the Fulham match, as if I want to watch that.
  13. If it was just that then people would accept it. We are not a title challenging side, so we are going to lose games like away at Fulham, or even at home against similar option. There are going to be poor games. The difference is though, is that our performances this season have been poor, we probably should have lost every game. Aside from 1 games in pre-season, the performances there were poor as well. Last season we were poor, but a lot was brushed under the carpet because of our injuries.
  14. Man Utd, and I guess Chelsea will though. He’ll get a little while out of both clubs before they likely see his limitations.
  15. Rafa lost in the end though. Once we got back into the Premier League, Ashley never gave a shit, and Rafa only got given just enough false promises to make him last through each season. The people in charge now won’t play any game. A deal with Adidas here, stadium plans ‘imminently’ there, the evidence of development happening in the woman’s game there, similar with the Academy there. They will be able to point at many aspects of the club improving, then point to Howe and say he’s a problem, and they will be able to sack him without much in the way of dispute from the fans.
  16. I’ve always said that I thought he’s defensively naive. His Bournemouth teams were very Jekyll, and Hyde, they could beat a top 6 team 3-0 one weekend, then lose 4-0 to some average clogger team. It seemed to be attack or nothing. The high pressing he got us doing in his first full season with us was something else, and made me think that at Bournemouth maybe he just didn’t have the players. However what we have saw last season, and this season is nothing like that. We don’t press teams at all, and we are frequently not winning the 1st ball, or the 2nd. We are often relying on the other team not taking their chance to gain possession back. Defensively we are none existent, and I’m starting to believe that our defensive work in that 4th placed season is an exception to the rule for Howe’s teams, and not the rule that he’s had but without the team to execute it. I’m quick enough on here to have a go at Ange at Spurs for him just willingly allow the high line to be exploited, and how I think that will be his downfall. I have to be fair and think Howe’s downfall is going to be similar. In all honesty we are getting a few games into the season now, teams are clicking. If we are honest with ourselves, we haven’t really been worse off in terms of 1st team player availability, or even players late coming back from the Euro’s compared to many other clubs. The excuse that they haven’t had a break, or been able to spend as much time with each other as other teams is not really holding out. We have also had an international break where he has been able to try and reset the squad, and another straight week this last week gone. A season and some bit into a 2nd season gone now, and we are in a position where things don’t need to click for us, things need to change. As I said in an earlier post, Howe’s credit in the bank from his 1st 18 months has disappeared, and I’m no longer able to say that the change we need isn’t Howe. It’s up to Howe now to prove that it isn’t.
  17. Truth be told, we don’t know if he wasn’t. Aside from last January though, he was backed in every transfer window, including some players we should have stayed the fuck away from. Mitchell is right though, we are no longer in threat of going down, so we can’t keep just paying that £5m-£10m more for a player. If that means he needs to have a back up to Guehi who is flavour of the month right now, then that means he needs to realise that we need to have more options. We could have got Diomande for much less than Guehi, or we could have got a much needed RW.
  18. Losing fucking patience now. Been poor for a season and a half now, he had the benefit of the doubt, and credit in the bank last season. Zero excuses for how we have played this season, absolutely all on him now. As far as I’m concerned, he’s lost his credit in the bank now. I’m not saying Howe out, but he no longer gets the ‘The way he turned us around, so we should stick by him’ defence.
  19. Fucking disgusting, absolutely fucking disgusting. It’s been fucking disgusting all season.
  20. Left ourselves with far too much to do this time around.
  21. Been a while since we have had a last minute penalty at Craven Cottage.
