  1. Have I made up the fact that we also had a striker called Thompson or something similar around the same time?
  2. 30 odd thousand season ticket holders paying on average somewhere in the region of 500 quid each season will be a decent wedge PSR wise, surely?
  3. Not to go all Joe Rogan on you, but he was definitely a footballer, just not a top level PL footballer.

He's 33 now, maybe, just maybe he's finally grown up.
  5. We're so embarrassing, man. Four minutes, why, it's supposed to be CLEAR AND OBVIOUS
  6. I agree with you, I just don't know why we go on and on about it. We've zero visibility of their day to day and their influence will take a long time to come to fruition. I still can't believe some people are complaining that Mitchell hasn't done a great deal in 2 months, man
  7. Couldn't care less if he stays or goes, personally. As fans we put far too much thought into these DoF's, Sporting Directors etc
  8. Yeah that's what I thought. I've not heard that it's becoming an industrial unit or anything like that. I wonder how financially viable it is if Gateshead College continue to use it. Do they still do international athletics meets there?
  9. It's all on ETH iyam. We've seen how easy it is to win the Eredivisie (hello Schteve McClaren) with an utterly shite manager, the PL needs more from a manager other than "Let's pley". Antony just needs an arm round the shoulder and some good tactical direction in an environment that's not one of the biggest pressure cookers in professional football.
  10. The stadium issue is sorted apparently. I heard yesterday that potential new owners are looking to sack off the running track around the pitch, I'm not sure whether that means Withdean style temp stands closer to the pitch or they're wanting to rip up the track altogether.
  11. You don't think a 24 year old Brazilian international playing at an absolute shit show of a club under that bald fraud has any potential? Howeh...
  12. You're not capping the individual's wages though, you're capping the total cost across the squad. Not sure how that's illegal. You could pay one player 99% of the capacity if you really wanted to.
  13. That's literally all it needs Just imagine the first day of the first window after the floodgates have been opened!
  14. Can't believe it's 10 years since that day we had at North Shields.
  15. Gonna guess that it's something to do with the wildly over the top reactions every single time someone from the club so much as breathes.
  16. One thing's for sure, Mitchell appears confident in his ability to put together a better plan than the ones we've had in place over the last few windows. He's already backed himself into a bit of a corner and now has to work his way out. Bit of an odd direction to take this early on.
  17. I've never understood how that works in the US, with the draft. What if the lad from New Orleans doesn't fancy a move to Massachusetts? Tough titties, son.

    England

Bet you those two have mentally stimulating conversations
  19. London is a shit hole, I don't blame him.
  20. I'm not sure we can make the concourses any bigger without compromising elsewhere tbh. We need an attractive ground for outside events to increase revenue and attract bigger sponsors imo. Fuck the capacity increase, I don't want more whining pricks, tourists or plastics in the ground than we've already got.
  21. I'd be against it if football was the same as it was in the 90's, but it's not. It feels so far removed from the game I grew up with. SJP needs to move with the times. I just want to be able to go for a piss at HT without having the radge squeeze, or grab a pint before KO without worrying about queuing for 20 minutes. Things don't have to be the way they are.
