  1. I'm not his biggest fan but you have to commend Sherwood's attitude. Said pre-match that he was expecting a win and that he wouldn't settle for anything less. It's that kind of positivity that we've been crying out for years...

    Sunderland

RTG: This is getting blown out of all bloody proportion, bucking a 15 year old is like doing 32 in a 30, he is our best player FFS and should be released immediately the mags are going to be bringing this up for decades now' Read more: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/adam-johnson.1043555/page-27#ixzz3TFqQ0bZX

  7. Colo was in the metrocentre fwiw on the Friday night before the Leicester game. Certainly wasn't abroad.
  8. Reckon we'll end up on about 45-48 points. Be surprised if we got any more or any less than that. Pointless thread anyway, we won't be going down and we won't be challenging for anything worth challenging for.

  10. 'I didn't think he was going to cross it towards Williamson, and then BAM, floated to the back post. Woooo, yeah (whistles)'
  11. Just over 4000 less than what we got against Plymouth in the actual FA Cup a few years back.

  13. Goal aside I thought Colback was awful. His lack of quality was completely shown up.
  14. Agreed a deal with Lazio for next season has he not?
  15. I think Mclaren still gets a rough ride from his time with England. His club record isn't bad and I think he's an excellent coach, which is basically our remit for a manager anyway.
  16. Tottenham 2 - 2 Arsenal Aston Villa 0 - 2 Chelsea Leicester 0 - 0 Crystal Palace Man City 4 - 0 Hull QPR 1 - 2 Southampton Swansea 2 - 1 Sunderland Everton 1 - 1 Liverpool Burnley 0 - 1 West Brom Newcastle 1 - 2 Stoke West Ham 1 - 2 Man Utd
  17. In Garth's team of the week... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31085797 "In a week when Newcastle United announced John Carver is to remain as head coach until the end of the season, the 3-0 victory at struggling Hull City was a terrific team performance by the Magpies. Fabricio Coloccini made a clearance off the line at a crucial stage in the match and was solid and strong throughout. This was an excellent team performance by Newcastle and special mention to the match officials for spotting Ahmed Elmohamady's handball."
  18. Hull 1-2 Newcastle Crystal Palace 1-2 Everton Liverpool 2-1 West Ham Man Utd 3-1 Leicester Stoke 1-1 QPR Sunderland 0-0 Burnley West Brom 1-2 Spurs Chelsea 2-0 Man City Arsenal 3-0 Aston Villa Southampton 2-0 Swansea
  19. To suggest Mbiwa has been any worse than any of the other CB's we've had whilst he's been here is daft IMO. Most of the mistakes he was making could have been coached out of him unlike those of Willo and Colo. Really thought that over time we'd have a fantastic defender on our hands.

    Shola Ameobi

Who on earth looks to boost their attacking options by signing Shola Ameobi? Like trying to increase your sperm count by chopping your balls off.

    Positives?

He was really good in that 4-5 month spell before the foot injury at spurs iirc.

    Positives?

As much as I hate Owen in hindsight, I think signing what was one of the best strikers in the world was a great move by the club at the time.
