  1. We should definitely start monitoring him Are you crazy m8? We've gotta first think about considering to monitor him. Apologies, i've lost track of all the stages. Can we get an official timeline together please for all the stages between thinking/considering/monitoring all the way through to get it over the line
  2. How many clubs have actually signed anyone yet though?
  3. Chelsea (a) first game Manure (h) Boxing Day Spurs (h) last game
  4. Maybe they were put off by the rumoured £60m fee. Or maybe they shat their pants. Probably want to try and maintain good relations with them so that they can keep the conveyor belt working. That, and the fact they're already banned from recruiting youth players from British clubs meaning that another incident of tapping up could result in an outright transfer ban. I wouldn't be surprised if it is Klopp that has told them to stop dicking around.
  5. Wasn't it Reina that got done by the beach ball down against the mackems? If we sign him they'll be flying planes over SJP dropping them instead of trailing banners. That said, he's still class and I think if we're assembling a young squad he could be a wise old head in the dressing room.
  6. William Carvalho is class... on FIFA as is Andre Andre fwiw
  7. Townsend is class and Rafa has already had him playing good football. Put him on the opposite side to Ritchie and there won't have been many newly promoted teams with better wingers.
  8. As long as it's not Reading I don't mind. Absolute shit hole of a town with a nothing ground on a retail park. Living in London, I'd prefer Fulham.
  9. Just looking at transfermarkt's list of out of contract players this summer, there are a few that would definitely improve us (realistic could be debatable though) Zabaleta Jesus Navas Lucas Clichy Ledley Kirchhoff Balotelli Thiago motta Miguel veloso Honda Ivan Ramis

    Chancel Mbemba

I just really hope that if it is only the language barrier that's stopping him from being in the side that they sort that out and give him a chance before getting rid. It was so annoying to see Yanga-Mbiwa get Pardewed and then shipped off so soon when others that maybe listen and communicate better but are distinctly worse players seem to hang around forever.

Hopefully he'll spend his summer off at an English school then.. He's too good to move on because of a language barrier, surely it'll click sooner or later

Anyone at the game last night care to say how this guy played?
  13. Shouldn't the Juve one have the new badge on it?
  14. I thought he looked a bit uncomfortable at right back and understandably a bit off the pace. Solid enough, but I saw Ritchie telling him where to be on more than one occassion.

    Paul Dummett

Defensively last night he looked quite good but offensively he is comical. Only able to hit the ball either 0 or 100 - exemplified by his lay off to Perez in the box where he absolutely hammered it at him from about 10 yards away instead of just rolling it into his path.
  16. Rafa > anything and anyone we've had since Bobby (although Hughton gets an honorable mention) How some people still doubt the guy is beyond me. Fucking morons
  17. Lansbury has passed his medical at Villa, good - gives us another game to abuse this oxygen thief.
  18. He's a good player, better than what we have at present and given the way he left last summer I imagine he'd feel pretty guilty if he was to come back and would want to win over any negative feelings towards him through effort on the pitch. Footballers are mercenaries looking out for themselves, he owed us no loyalty. Yes, leaving to go and play for Alan fucking Pardew instead of Rafa is like ditching your Victoria's Secret model in favour of dry humping the gap between sofa cushions but he was chasing the Premier League and given the signings Palace were making last summer you can't blame him for thinking they might do something of note this season. It hasn't worked and if he wants to come back we should be happy that we have a good player regardless of how or why he left in the first place.

    Steve McClaren

Don't hold anything against the guy whatsoever (apart from thinking he should have resigned after Saturday), was clearly well out of his depth and took the job knowing that with his recent record he wasn't going to get anything better. The club is the problem and at least now they have acted decisively. I wouldn't put it past us to use this opportunity to move in the right direction and take a massive run and jump backwards though, here's looking at you Messrs Pearson, Curbishley & Redknapp.
  20. I was discussing this last night with my flatmate, Do you think Zlatan is genuinely as arrogant and as much of a bell as his persona (and autobiography) portrays him to be or do you think it's all an act like some WWE wrestler?
  21. Aston Villa 1-2 Man Utd Southampton 3-1 Everton Spurs 1-1 Stoke Sunderland 0-0 Norwich Swansea 2-2 Newcastle Watford 1-1 West Brom West Ham 2-1 Leicester Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal Man City 1-1 Chelsea Liverpool 3-0 Bournemouth
  22. Stoke supporting mate of mine put it on facebook - knew it couldn't be right!
