Best of luck guys. Sounds like it's going to be a good day

It feels like Leeds are going to eventually run away with the Championship this season, and win the league at a canter. They got 90 points last season, and the quality of the league has gone down, and it seems like they're starting to get into gear for the Christmas and January stretch.

I find myself a bit in the middle with this debate. Personally, I'm not that fussed if a manager is from the nation they're representing, there are plenty of examples of it working, Greece for instance. However I also think in an ideal world you would have an English manager, and the fact that we have had to go to a foreign manager is a reflection of how poor our coaching pathways are.

Does that article say that Howe wasn't on the FA's 10 man shortlist? That's a bit mental if true

In fairness not many people escape the pocket of Myles Hippolyte.

I also thought he was good against Everton bar a few misplaced passes when he got fatigued. His movement and quick passing adds so much to our midfield transition.

While I get the idea behind the "Managers should come from the nation they're from" rhetoric, if FIFA ever implemented such a rule, it would screw over the majority of smaller nations that may not have the structure to create International worthy managers. You know, like Ireland. Also when people talk about the topic, especially in this country, it comes across as nationalist/brexit as fuck, which is pure

In the press release it was mentioned that Tuchel signed the contract on the 8th, but the announcement was delayed until now so it didn't interfere with this week's games.

Do we think it's worth using triple captain this weekend on Haaland, given they're playing a Wolves team that has shifted a decent chunk of goals this season.

Thats just a personal opinion, the point was more that he's still a manager thats in the middle of his career and was upwardly mobile, and that he's a manager a lot of clubs would have sought, the same with Nagelsmann and Tuchel. (As an example I could have seen all three of them at Man United to replace Ten Haag) Normally these sorts of jobs are given to managers like Carsley or Southgate who have "been in the system", or towards the end of their career like a Hodgson.

What's with all these top class managers going to International management all of a sudden? Pochettino, Nagelsmann and now Tuchel, all managers who are in their prime years, going to International jobs.

This is going to end in tears, but I guess it'll be a hell of a ride

Really good read, but the statement "Take the points deduction and keep Minteh" is hilariously ridiculous.

You'd have preferred to sell Bruno, our most important and influential player, over someone who hadn't kicked a ball for us?

Neil Critchley to Hearts.
