What happened, for us who aren’t watching?

The way I see it, we only sell Isak for our valuation, or near enough. So far, we only got a lowball offer on the table. No way we sell for £110m. There needs to be a better offer for us to consider a sale this window. in addition, we’ll want to make sure we have a replacement in place. If we get Šeško, we would still need another forward in to replace Isak.

Not sure what to believe yet, but would be a massive coup for us if he comes

Personally, think this is a smart deal. £4m is peanuts these days and we can decide if we want a permanent deal after a year. We can then revisit the GK position as either he or pope inevitably leaves. Probably next summer, when we hopefully have a more stable executive department.

It's difficult to say, as we don't know the details of the deals, but we appear to not be very good at negotiating with other clubs. I do think not having a sporting director is hurting us, especially when going for top players.
