  1. I can imagine Klopp ranting in German about Saturdays match ?
  2. I think we’re generally pretty solid what we don’t have is a lot of goals or creativity really. I don’t doubt what Philips would offer but a proper number 10 would make a huge difference in the final 3rd and general play
  3. I think you’re probably right with a full season. That said it seems highly likely we’ll have a new right winger and an attacking midfielder starting with a new striker (or Wilson). I also think we’ll have another centre half starting or at least competing to start with Burn and Schar.
  4. The good thing with Howe is even if we win tonight I don’t think Howe will let us ease up in the final matches.
  5. We 100% need a proper number 10. I think that’s more imperative over spending millions on someone like Phillips if we had to choose between the two (given we’re going to have to spend a serious amount on a striker too) We already have Bruno and Joelinton and Shelvey who can sit. We need goals.
  6. I agree, I don’t think there’s that much of a risk (re re-injury) with Trippier it’s just whether he’s physically fit and ready. Wilson on the other hand having had a calf issue is much more problematic regarding his return where re-injury is a much greater risk.
  7. We just need more creative options and goals elsewhere on the pitch. Teams just load up on him because they know currently he’s our only creative outlet. A number 10 and right winger would make a huge difference.
  8. If Bruno is the box to box or more deep lying midfielder and Joelinton is the destroyer then we need a proper number 10 for next season. Shelbey still a good option to come in though
  9. Throw in a proper number 10 next season to play with him and we’re cooking
  10. They had a lot of ball but didn’t do much with it. I don’t remember Dubravka having to do much at all
  11. Spot on. A proper number 10 and RW will mean teams can’t load up on ASM. The point about Wood I agree with 100% too. You're not going to get much interchangeable running between ASM and Wood.
  12. I think Philips is quality but If we’re going to shell out a proportion of cash on a midfielder I’d rather us go for an attacking/number 10 as we already have Bruno and Joelinton (and even Shelvey who sits deep). If we sign two then great but can’t see it when you think we’ll be signing strikers and wingers.
  13. Until we have a legitimate goal scoring threat on the RW (and potentially a proper number 10) I don’t think we’ll see the best of ASM. Teams just load of up on him because they know he’s our only real creative option. Willock is an opportunist and will score a few but he’s not going to open teams up and creat a lot. The focus always falls squarely on ASM. That needs to change. He’s also obviously not without his faults, not releasing the ball, losing the ball etc but in general over reliance on him is a problem they have to fix in the summer.
  14. Yeah I bought mine in the Gallowgate by about 10.05
  15. Yes those 3 games then Norwich away is when they need to put it to bed properly. If they get Wilson and Trippier back for the likes of Arsenal and Pool I think we’ll give them both a proper game at home.
  16. I fancy us at home in those 3 straight home matches. Wolves is v tough but atmosphere on that Friday will be mental.
  17. Hed fit in well, mates with Trippier etc too. Falls under the tried and tested too.
  18. I defo definitely think we’ll spent up towards 150m but defo over 100m. A new striker is going to cost a fair chunk of that for starters and we’ll need quality in midfield. I hope we bring in a number 10 type player to play at the head of midfield.
  19. I think Lingard would be a great signing, he’d slot straight it and be a great option opposite ASM on the other side. That said if they’ve identified another younger option who can come in then great. I wouldn’t have any concerns over Lingard though, I’d be chuffed if he joined. Be a great player with experience to join as we look to push on in the next phase.
  20. Its a shocking result that, simply not good enough. It’s not an excuse but they look knackered and a bit out of sorts and need a break. To lose a goal at the end again isn’t good enough though.
  21. I saw him just earlier, good solid stride coming into Waitrose ha. Leicester is 4.5 weeks away, seems realistic.
  22. The great thing about Howe is you know how level headed he’ll be after the loss and have the lads mentally prepared. It’s the old story of not getting too high after wins or too low after a loss.
  23. We should be looking to win it for sure, draw isn’t a bad result at all though
