Incredible that video. I will cry when he eventually leaves :'(

I'd go for Remy, Cisse and HBA up front. (Just like Villa) I'd love for us to give that a run, not just for one or two matches.

and sissoko looked shot last game. Thought the same about Gouffran, wouldn't mind seeing Hatem come in for him. Mainly because Sissoko is in my fantasy team

He'll be back in the side, you can clearly see how much Pardew rates him as he's always speaking so highly of him. Frustrating he's putting so much emphasis on his work rate but at the same time you can sort understand his point of if Robben/Ribery do it at Bayern, why can't he? Won't be long before he's a permanent fixture in our side again, he's simply too good to have a season as an impact sub and Pardew knows it.

"Of course I was a bit bitter to be finished so young - I was only 25 when a tackle by Crystal Palace's Mel Blyth cut me down" "Everything went in my knee, ligaments, cartilage, the lot. I didn't have an operation for an age which I believe cost me dearly" Was Jacky on the sauce or are these Tony Green quotes false?

Yep, nice for him to be getting praise again. Really has made a massive U-turn in form just when it was looking likely his time might be up here, all credit to him. He is limited but a fair few players are but at least he's attributes he's limited he excels in and can be put to very effective use. When playing like this he's a very valuable member of the squad.

Jonas is on another level to this standard, like. Really shows the gulf in class. Just worried Pardew might take it as face value and put him back in our starting line up Can't help but be impressed by Alnwick aswell. Find it strange we are always linked with a new keeper, happy to have this lad be brought through rather than looking to spend 2/3 mil on a back up.

Have to disagree with this. Think we pass the ball well from defence and midfield, it's just the options and movement in final 3rd which isn't up to scratch and is poor. We can dominate possession when we intend to do it, sadly we just aren't asked to do that enough for whatever reason Pardew thinks. We seem to spend a lot of time knocking the ball between the back four and the midfield, with players running backwards into space to receive the ball, rather than forward. Anyone can do that kind of passing. Of the front six that started against Arsenal, we only had one player, in Cabaye, who can pass the ball well. Anita is also a lovely passer of the ball. Like i mentioned it's when likes of Anita/Cabaye are picking up the ball, be it deep or final third, the movement around them needs to be a lot better. That's why our passing doesn't get into full flow moving forward because our movement is awful. Anita showed how simple it can be when he used Obertan as basically a brick wall against Chelsea. Credit to Debuchy, he seems to have a great understanding with Cabaye and he's always looking to move when the chance develops. Cisse seemed to have a telepathic understanding with him up to a point too. That’s the problem with our current side though, we don’t seem to have players on the same wave length and partnerships haven’t been built from an attacking point of view. Sissoko/Debuchy is probably the one that has formed the best so far but it’s hardly a Shearer/Bellamy or a Robert/Bernard.

I've never understood sending a keeper up then leaving defenders back on the half way line?

Prior to this season i would say RVP still even though i thought Suarez had a better season. Suarez however seems to have taken things to another level this season and if he maintains this kind of form for the next year, no doubt Suarez is the better player. Suarez's current form may slide the votes in his favour as his recent brilliance is fresh in the memory.

Shearer didn't like him when he was manager here, so it's no wonder seeing him shoot down Colo at any given chance on TV. Can't stand Shearer as a pundit, like. I can't either, but he's been extremely complimentary of Colo in the last 3 years. Not from what i've seen, always felt he's had some sort of agenda with him. Came in as manager, Colo makes a mistake then immediately dropped. Then whenever he's made a mistake here, he's on TV slaughtering his defensive abilities.

Majority of the ones mentioned will be at Whitley Park tonight at 7pm if you miss them? Jonas will be there for an added bonus. If it wasn't for the 500 mile round trip and me being half dead I'd probably buy you a Bovril, unfortunately those circumstances rule me out tonight Fucking part timers

Wasn't on the bench yesterday and not in the reserve squad for tonight? Anyone know if he's injured again or what's up?

I don't think Jose's was money related, he just genuinely wanted to take a step forward in his career. Anyone in his position would have been thinking it's best to move to Liverpool if that option is there to try and further my career. Things haven't worked out as well he probably thought they would, like. I didn't mind him leaving as i could kind of see where he was coming from.

That's tomorrow
-
50,000 fans he can ram his dick up again, no thanks Rather just keep my expectations low and think he's off in the summer.
-
Aye, i was born 88 so i effectively missed Beardsley so just left with Shearer miles in front to a chasing pack
-
My Dad thought Beardsley was better but he was number 2...my Grandad thought Milburn was the best and Green number 2...Fact Shearer is left out of both tells it's own story for how special he must have been.

Well that was my point start of the season when people were saying we would struggle or being in another dog fight. We have a very talented bunch of players who should be capable of 8th at least. The key for me this season was to just get back on course and basically forget the horror show of last season and so far we are doing a good job of that. 8th is par but that's not to say it's easy to get there because it's still a tough league in which teams can pull random results all over the place. Even this week who would have predicted that shambolic palace side we trounced to only concede once at the Etihad and push them all the way or Hull to smash in 6 past Fulham. As shit as the league looks, it's still tough to pick up points.

What do you mean by this, Brett? They hit quite a few diagonals to Lambert, why wouldn't they? He's great in the air. They hit it across the ground a lot more than your average side too. Was just quite surprised. When i've watched them played some really good stuff and didn't stand out for me playing a lot of long balls.
