Shit derby about to get shitter with Young getting sent off
-
All fair points like, I think it’s likely she’s put a hit out on him
-
Roy’s one of the most likeable people in the game. Doesn’t alter the fact Palace are boring as fuck but I always wish him well
-
Some nice attacking football from Dortmund in moments but their general build up play has been slow until the final twenty yards. Bremen seem to be playing a very defensive set up though so doesn’t say a lot

Ashley was and is utter scum. Let’s not rewrite history. Bruce is a self-serving coward. Ashley is a parasite who tore the heart and soul of the club to pieces and basically laughed at us nonstop while doing it
-
Bruce: “Listen, we all make mistakes, the lad’s made a big one and the fans will want to see him fighting for the club. That’s what mattered to me when I was lucky enough to manage there, you have to prove yourself everyday. He needs to be given time, but it’s not easy, I think if I’d had that extra time things would have gone differently and I just wanted a fair crack at the whip.”

He is the person who brings everything together, we have owners who are bought into the club, and some great players with good characters but it basically all hinges on Eddie pulling the major strings. Hope he’s here still in 2033

always says the absolute optimal thing

Would feel pretty sickened if we got Neves in all honesty. We’ve already got stuff stacked in our favour long term without needing to overdo it. I at least want to try and feel like we go on to achieve our success through semi-legitimate means
-
Would fit into the Terminator canon to have a film about this, can imagine this storyline, with Tonali being in the John Connor role could bring James Cameron back on board with the franchise
-
Who’s going to do the killing? Eddie himself in Ned Stark fashion?
-
Thanks brother, hopefully one of the Mods can help you escape the Forum

This would be incredible. I’m aware that there are plans underway with a railway line that would connect to Northumberland Park from Blyth. It wouldn’t be a metro line as such but because it would connect to the metro line it would greatly improve transport in that area. Are any of the other extensions under proposal or have they all been deemed impractical / too expensive? Thank you

Trying to get himself dropped so that he can go 100% for Newcastle with Tonali’s impending ban. Great commitment from Bruno
-
As is the case with almost any case that’s played out in the media, we have no way of knowing whether he is genuinely addicted or not. I read that something that said he’d racked up major debts which obviously is addictive behaviour. However, who the fuck can trust anything nowadays in the age of “clicks for cash”. All we can do as a club and fan base is try and support him and he needs to do everything in his power to make good on this. The motivation for him should be that hes still young and sorting this out now before it gets worse is the best thing that could happen to him. He has to see it in a positive way even if it feels overwhelmingly negative
-
Desperate for Joe to return but even more so with the bad news story surrounding the club related to Tonali’s gambling. Think he’ll likely take a bit of time to get back to his best but we’ve really missed his amazing ability to drive us forward. Seeing Joe and Isak back together is what we need
-
What does it matter if it’s under their jurisdiction or not? If he’s bet on his own team in Italy, he’ll be getting a ban in the PL I’m sure
-
Just hope it doesn’t bleed into affecting the squad. I don’t think it will but we’ll be without a player for likely 12 months who would have contributed more and more as the season went on. Addiction or not, you can’t bet on your own team and you shouldn’t ever be betting on the sport you play. We’ve been fed some lies by him and his agent. It’s hard to be really sympathetic but the best long-term outcome to this is that he dedicates himself to football, sorts his life out and produces the best football of his life after his ban. Given his age, this is possible but he will need a lot of support. Let’s hope his character and resilience is strong enough to come back from this because the alternative - spending a fortune on a player who fades away because his confidence is shot and he never fully acclimatises to here - would be way worse
-
Pretty concerning that up until yesterday all the words from his camp were that he hadn’t bet on football. Be interesting to see how the club handles it but a year out would be a disaster for us but an even bigger disaster for him. He would massively need to repay us with performances in the future. Hard to imagine how he’d be able to repay “the debt” to us, especially if he doesn’t do everything possible during a ban to get himself physically and mentally in the right place
-
Not sure why it’s been added to this thread when it’s WOAT all of its own. With all this Tonali chatter we need an uplifting thread about the logistics of moving to raise N-O’s spirits
-
Imagine if Kane hadn’t gone to Bayern and would never have won anything, would have been absurd
-
Let’s hope we know where things stand later today or by the weekend at the latest. This has been a shitshow courtesy of the Italian press being a shambles. As @The Prophet said, it’s pretty cut and dry where things stand depending on whether he has bet on football or not and it’s not remotely clear at this stage if he has. I was worried that he’d be desperate to go back to Italy and that he’d struggle to settle for that reason but I think thats one positive to come out of this, he’ll not want to go back anytime soon
