I thought he looked good last night? A bit up and down. Over-played at times, looked leggy off the ball late on, missed a pen. Not sounding too good so far But his passing range is quality, he was always looking to go forward either on the ball or with his passing. Was creating space for himself with decent feet in tight areas and bagged a great assist. Easy enough through ball, granted. But still weighted to perfection and played it instantly without needing a second thought. Depending on the price and what our other targets are. He would be a great signing. I am still of the opinion that more of a DM/all rounder type would suit our midfield more. But the amount of goals and assists Maddison would bring kind of outweighs the negatives with him.

Yeah. He’s made 2-3 quality saves. That being the pick of them. With Ward, it felt like a shot on target was usually a goal.

It’s not Kanu territory. But that’s far worse than Bamford’s. He’s about 2 yards out, in the middle of the goal and it’s along the deck. Slight deflection or not. That’s harder to miss than score.

Nice to be involved with the battle for the top 4 and not the bottom 3, for a change. Feels odd watching a relegation 6 pointer and being able to enjoy it. Good game so far.

How/why are Leicester so bad?! They have loads of players I’d happily have playing for us. But they have been a shambles all season. Defence has been a bit all over the place with injuries and players out of position. But even so. They shouldn’t be down there in the bottom three.

Feel it’s easier to want the derby back if you don’t live in the area. The missus’ family are mackems and that’s bad enough most the season and around derby day. But at least we live 250 miles away.

I can’t see him leaving Burn that open against Saka. Maybe Isak centrally behind Wilson and Willock wide left. But that is a bit of a system change and doesn’t seem much like Howe for such a massive game. It does seem like we have got to a point where both need to play and are undroppable.

I dunno, like. He was very good and would be happy to sign him. But despite his quality tackle on Bruno first half for the goal. Bruno and Willock both still had very good games and Joelinton was as effective as usual in CM. Whilst Lavia played well. Man to man and as a collective. We dominated their midfield. So I’m not sure what he bossed, exactly.

We’re not exactly that Leeds stand behind the goal for limbs. But I think our crowd get just as excitable as any when we score. Maybe the day trippers and happy clappers have filtered back in a bit more. But have I always maintained and said to mates over the years. Compare the way our fans celebrate over a lot of clubs. It always seems a bit more passionate and not just standing and politely clapping like loads of London teams or clubs used to winning all the while. Maybe we’re getting too used to being good and got more into it when we were shit and it was unexpected?

Yeah, true. I just thought the likes of Isak and Wilson were real standouts. Along with Bruno at times with his insane ability to control a football anywhere on the pitch. Or Big Joe doing his best Terminator impression. Willock doesn’t necessarily do loads of flashy stuff or have loads of wow moments. But he’s just everywhere and is relentless late on.

Some turnaround this. Looked finished for a 10-15 game stretch. Now unstoppable.

There is only one player I want from this Southampton midfield and it certainly isn’t Ward-Prowse. This is the 4th game against us this season where he has done absolutely fuck all.
