Tino v Boro 1996 albeit from the bench Cisse's debut goal was lovely On Marv, he's not defensively minded enough for Pards and while I may disagree I think realistically Pards will either play him central or not at all. He does not like playing wingers who don't track back much no matter how skillful. "Wingers" ffs. If I were to say Marveaux can't play wide left instead then? I believe that's where you had him in your proposed obvious lineup? I like Marveaux, but he doesn't have the ability to make up for not tracking back like Ben Arfa does. As we saw the last time he played wide. I wouldn't pick my forward players based on how much tracking back they do. Did Man City pay 20 odd million for David Silva because he puts his foot in? Who would you play in that role instead? Did you read what I said? Marveaux isn't talented enough to make up for his lack of defensive prowess. The likes of Silva, Mata are Ben Arfa are though. Let's not forget we have to do infinitely more defending than the likes of Man City and Chelsea. I wouldn't play a wide forward on the left.

Marveaux is not a winger. Not in this league, anyway. Edit: Although I will say he may be able to work on the right if Debuchy were behind him.

Come on Dan Taylor!
-
We could sign 5 top class strikers and I'm pretty sure Shola would still find a way to get in the team.
-
It would seem strange to bid £12m on this guy and only £9m on Aubameyang if that were the case. I don't think we'll get any more players in the window, mind.
-
Shit. Sorry guys.
-
Why though? You still have to make tackles on either side, you still have to make passes to either side, you still have to be able to turn on either side. Strikes me as a psychological thing.

Left footed players tend to prefer the left naturally, same for the right. If you can use both feet you wouldn't care. Colo who is right footed but can use his left very well, plays left of the centre for us. Williamson who left foot is poor plays right as this helps him. Same with Saylor who is right footed with a weaker left foot. Not that hard to work out is it ? It's not that simple though, is it? John Terry has insisted on playing on the left side his entire career despite being right footed. People seem to be against the idea of us signing a left sided centre half because Colo plays on the left, even though he is more comfortable on his right foot. There'll be more examples, I'm sure.

He's another one who's nowhere near as good as the hype surrounding him imo.
-
I really don't see why it matters which side a centre half plays, perhaps someone can explain it to me? I played both sides of centre half as a junior and it made no difference.
-
I'm thinking that they probably won't considering they've already talked about Villa.
-
They spoke about Villa, not us at all (yet)

Fair few people on here still aren't getting his surname right and it's written down right in front of them!
-
We should re-bookmark his page then
-
Really excited to see this guy play. Think he could be one of the best centre halves in the league.
-
Scott Dann is shit.
-
He'll sell in a few years after making his money back.

There's so many bad people around footballers, man.

I read that post of Ryder's Tweet and genuinely assumed it must've been Tyson who posted it
