  1. Great job opportunity for another Man Utd legend. Well, y'know . . .
  2. Not sure what the FA (or even the Premier League) could do to Barcelona if they were to make Bruno an offer he couldn't refuse. Does FIFA or UEFA police such matters?
  3. NBC Sports' top 25 goals of the season include three of ours -- Maxi v. Wolves, Schar v. Forest, and (at #2 overall, behind Enciso) Miggy v. Fulham.
  4. Not if that's all you've done. The player's club couldn't successfully sue because at that point they wouldn't have suffered any financial damages.
  5. Not sure if this will be viewable on here because it's from NBC Sports and ESPN, but it's just gone up on the video site that begins with Y. "Exploring the DNA and Culture of Newcastle United" 8 minutes of glorious stuff.
  6. Bumped into two of them? You still employed as a truck driver?
  7. After all the tension and bedwetting, the ups and downs, it's finally sinking in. We effing did it. Take a minute to relax and enjoy.
  8. Kid needs to learn to use his right foot tbh.
  9. Bring him home. Bruno, Joelinton, Vini. You know it makes sense.
  10. Hope so. Thought I'd got over the memory of Partizan Belgrade long ago but it's back. Only needed a draw to qualify for the CL, at home against an inferior opponent, but couldn't score and the pressure eventually told, even on Shearer. Hope that's forgotten forever by tomorrow night.
  11. Right. All it takes is a Maddison free kick and a Vardy breakaway and we're looking at having to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
  12. Yet we still have the best goals-against record (27) in the league, with only Man City (30) anywhere close. Next best are Chelsea (38) and Arsenal (39).
  13. The little grovelling bastard.
  14. Crying won't help him, praying won't do him no good
  15. And Zouma and Keane and Madley . . .
  16. "suggested" . . . "could be" Worthless speculation
  17. For many of us old enough to remember, the trauma of 1995-96 and the blown 12-point lead still lurks. The holy grail within reach, but we slowly let it slip. Please God don't let it happen again. It would be too cruel.
  18. That article incorrectly states that his contract expires at the end of the 2024-25 season. In fact he was given an extended contract through June 2026. https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/allan-saint-maximin-signs-new-deal-to-stay-at-newcastle-united-until-2026/ Depending on who you believe, he's making somewhere between 4 million and 5 million per year. I doubt that he is desperate to leave, even if the club won't redo his contract yet again, or that the club feels any pressing need to get him off the payroll. Can't see him leaving any time soon unless the club gets an unrefuseable offer.
  19. Fake news. My truth will always be that it did and it was absolutely hilarious.
