Baffled at how many people are ok with him leaving or think it’s a good move given his age. He’s still controlling games from right back and completely shutting down wingers opposition fans are saying will cause is problems. But aye sell him for somewhere around £15m. We couldn’t even sign a backup for that.

Selling him this window while we’ve been briefed numerous times we’re at the limits of ffp, will likely sell one of bigger players in the future (probably Bruno) and we can’t even afford a loan deal is horrendous for morale and the outward message on the direction of the club. It’s going to be really hard to spin that as a positive.

Last season we were really short of a centre midfielder and we didn’t enter the market despite the fact we were chasing a trophy and European football. Given that this season looks to be getting away from us I don’t think the injury crisis will force our ownership into risking ffp.

I’m not sure a striker even changes much for us at the moment. Isak is clearly first pick with Wilson backup. Assuming Wilson isn’t out too long any striker is either going to be 2nd or 3rd choice. Seems pointless this window.
