I don't want to completely judge him on what we've seen over this stretch. He did go from playing almost no football at all in Germany to being dropped into the middle of the worst 5 month display I've ever seen from a professional sporting club. Can he be completely blamed for not settling here given everything that has gone on? That said, you have to take a chance when it's given and he didn't show much at all. I'd take him here, but certainly not at the prices that had been mentioned originally.

wow. the first time i've ever not cared about a result. couldn't say who scored and haven't bothered to check or search for the highlights. not even bothered about the walkout or protests. just complete apathy. i'm sure i am not the only one. it's sad.

Was just at Dortmund v Wolfsburg, I've never been to a Newcastle match but I can't imagine a better atmosphere than that. Easily the best sporting event I've ever been to.

Whoever is least likely to embarrass us in a football match... That rules out Reading and Brighton based on recent seasons.. Bournemouth sound like the exact kind of club that we'd lose to with an disgraceful performance, so not them either.. Can Boro be promoted or are they still mid-table?

Dear god why? End of May can't come soon enough, with the faint hope of Armageddon midst season to put us out of our f***ing misery. I've never seen Newcastle play and this is fairly easy to get to. I had wanted to go to a game in Newcastle this season, but can't be bothered now. I'm completely sick of this season, but perhaps we will have some (false) hope to get excited about for next season. Maybe. I just want to see a game once. I almost wish I was just 'casual' fan so I could just watch a game without having to worry about what the owner or manger is doing, or any of this other shit.

If there was any game to play some youngsters, this would be it. Break them in against an easier opponent and make things difficult for Sunderland if we lose. Get two birds stoned at once, we got nothing to lose.

Could see a Carlton Cole situation happening. We let him go at the end of the season with the ambition for better things. Then we f*** around in the transfer market till we get desperate and have to bring our hero back for one more glorious season.

I want to finish as high as possible too, but what do we have to work with? We took our foot off the gas in January. Our manager (for better or worse) is suspended, some key first team players are hurt or just missing. As SanToon said I'd rather mix in the youngsters then see Shola or Gosling for a useless 20 cameo when they're leaving in the summer. Play as many first team players as we have 'available' and give Armstrong, Aarons or whoever is deserving some time off the bench.

We should give anyone we think has a future here some game time. .We got nothing else to play for, so I'd rather see some of the kids play to keep it interesting. They've talked a big game about building up the academy, so it would be nice to see some of these guys make it.
