Blue chip backers, for the Blue Pop drinkers. Aye, recognised the name from Wraith and Rob Lee touting them on Twitter a year ro so ago.
  2. Because our home kits are striped and our other kits are solid... Even on a striped top, it's still pretty clear. I guess this is what he means on this old mockup off of Twitter... https://twitter.com/requestakit/status/1074756387878637568/photo/1
  3. Couldn't see it posted, but easy ryder posted a proper image of the keeper top...
  4. They did a few years back for some clubs. Man Utd being one of them http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/2017/manchester_united_fc_adidas_originals_90s_away_jersey_track_jacket.jpg Sure i've seen an image of an Adidas Originals NUFC jacket like that - not the pattern, but tracksuit top type jacket. Think it might have been from the first wave of Adidas stuff around 1995-97 ish. EDIT: Was on Twitter... EDIT 2: T-Shirt for sale, here... https://footballholics.com/shop/newcastle-united-fc/111-2009-10-newcastle-united-adidas-originals-heritage-t-shirt.html
  5. Only NUFC would have the chance to finally get out of 13 years of Mike Ashley purgatory only to become a geopolitical football for four months. I'm just fucking tired of it all. Chair and Vice of the EPL Board are both ex bankers so Hammond may have history with them So on the face of it, his involvement could be a... positive?
  6. I've seen it. Its just lightweight heras fencing blocking the steps and entrance off Barrack Road, and across the bottom entrance of Strawberry place. It was just to deter supporters from trying to congregate and/or get into the matches I think. Its been there since the matches restarted, as it was shown on local news reports.

  8. Badges look to high... almost at the neckline, not on the tits like they used to be!
  9. Was there not also some sort of 'fans charter' in the early days of the Premier League / Premiership that said clubs had to keep kits for 2 years. Then Man Utd started selling a 3rd kit that would change every season, and eventually every club brought out 3 kits that changed every year.
  10. Nice simple, last minute, not much thought to it template there. Wonder if Puma were expecting / about to be dropped till the takeover delays? That kit actually looks a lot like the Nike template kit that Newcastle Blue Star use.
  11. This. And as Ben Jacobs put in one of his tweets "Sometimes I think NUFC fans just want to hear 'it's happening' regardless of truth/context" - we even had people claiming the Saudis banning Bein was positive news ffs. When you realise that Staveley's track record isn't very good, and that she has been the only one confident of this happening, then sadly this falling though has looked the most likely outcome for a while now. You don't think the other buying parties weren't confident of passing? They just thought they'd spend months of their time and significant financial outlay on a punt? Plus Ashley thought he'd entertain them for the lolz. Your hated of Staveley is mysoginistic and creepy. What was the name of the woman that hurt you so badly? Mysogynistic...at least spell it correctly if it means that much to you Why so melodramatic anyway. She told Caulkin lots of stuff, none of which has come to fruition. Me pointing that out = a hatred based on mysogynistic views I actually Googled it to check the spelling and still fucked it up You go on and on about her and find it a bit weird. Obviously she, the Reuben brothers, PIF, Ashley and whatever legal teams they use ALL thought it would proceed. She did possibly embark on a bit of brinkmanship during the 1st attempted takeover, but they are very much mutually exclusive and if this does fail, it's through no fault of her own. Same I want to like her and believe her, and I did for a bit, I've just been suspicious that her confidence may be miss-placed. Who's ever stated that it was Staverley that told Caulkin? How do you know Caulkin isn't just making it up to appease the fans that keep pestering him every minute of the day for answers? Show us where anyone has 'Quoted' Staverley in saying any of this, bet you can't. She's signed a NDA like everyone else that's involved in the deal, do you think she's going to fuck it up by confiding in a journalist? We all know Ashley doesn't need much excuse to pull out of a deal It's probably just a guess that its Staveley feeding the positivity to GC, because she made contact with him and gave him the interview during the last bid. However, due to the NDA's, its probably someone from the buyers legal team team passing on the small snippets of info ("no red flags so far", "buyers still positive", "buyers have answered everything asked"). The legal team will know how much they can or can't say, hence the vagueness that GC gets to report. On the flipside, the negative stuff that gets reported is full of detail, and paints the picture of a nailed on fail, despite the only people knowing for sure being the Legal teams on each side and the PL.
  12. It is amazing how, the PL have said all along 'no comment' and the nearest we've gotten to any sort of real comment, is Masters stating he hoped for it to be sorted shortly (or similar) a few weeks ago. Yet, we keep getting the negative stories that the PL are standing by their rights holding partners, and set to reject the takeover, and these 20-100 MP's are all against it, and this new letter/document/evidence is putting the takeover in doubt. But these leaked stories are never positive. That tells me a lot, and that the negative stories are probably being leaked by people with an agenda for this to fail. GC reckons the buying side are still positive, and that they've done/answered all that's been asked up to now, and they could be spinning that for their own purposes. However, until something definite comes out one way or the other, I'd be inclined to stick to the positive side, and ignore those with an obvious agenda in the hope for PIF/Staveley/Reubens to be given the green light.... eventually.
  13. Haha, first thing I thought too... nicotine stained net curtains! I thought the yellow one was supposed to be the same template as Man City's 3rd kit this season.... the tequila sunrise kit? That 5th kit though... what even is it?? Is it meant to be a special 'Saudi Takeover' kit??
  14. I remember them doing that when went from greenalls to s and n Remember that, a solid black bar across the middle to cover the Greenalls, with the blue star in the middle. My Mam stitched it on for me but it just looked wrong so I picked it off a few weeks later. Started seeing a lass from Wickham whose Dad was John Gallagher's pools man, and he arranged for the same shirt to be signed by the squad. He also arranged for me to go to John's house for a cuppa, as a shy 16 year old I was totally starstruck. Speaking of John Gallacher, he married a lass I used to go to school with, and sure they still live in the West End of Newcastle.
  15. And they might be, once the Takeover goes through. But that could be days, weeks or even months away still.
  16. Meh, I think these are decisions that needed to be made. And with no timeline on a decision from the PL, the club have been allowed to press on. But, look at Man City's takeover. Admittedly that was mid-season, but they went from Le Coq Sportif designed shirts with Thomas Cook on, to Umbro with Etihad the following season. So I'm sure all these agreements can be changed, if needed.
  17. I guess its only 'imminent' in that they're waiting for the PL to approve them. But they've been waiting almost 3 months for that, now! Maybe the potential owners have agreed this with the club needing to make certain decisions (sponsors, kits, etc) for next season. All these agreements may have get-out clauses written into them.
  18. Wonder if the new kits are close to being formally announced, if they're confirming the sponsor staying on? See if there's anything formal on Puma staying on too, and how long.
  19. Hmm. On the face of it, it looks dodgy for the takeover. However, I'm sure sponsorship deals can be ended early as long as contract sums are paid up. Also, could anything takeover related be written into any new agreement - such as 'subject to change of ownership' - similar conditions to those loans/mortgages Ashley had to pay up immediately when took over? So, whilst this looks like bad news, and that we are facing 'business as usual' for the foreseeable, things can probably change quite quickly/easily (just not cheaply) if they need to. No doubt the usual suspects on Twitter will spin this to the negative, though.
  20. How exactly would that have been any different? ? I guess if Staveley and the Reubens could have bought it and done the takeover, then its just bringing PIF in later, and any piracy or others issues wouldn't have held up the actual takeover.
  21. Oh yes, its definitely a PFM script... https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-sign-more-players-9805281
  22. Funny you should mention him.... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2010/dec/09/alan-pardew-newcastle-manager Maybe its a script they give them?
  23. Dear me, some of his comments today.
