  6. Here is the proper shirt... Looks like the yellow was in the adidas sleeve stripes (very fineline), along with their name.
  7. Tbf we would still have the same white border even if we had sticked with Adidas. Why? Sunderland have theirs with a white border too. Not sure about the away shirt, but I'm sure I saw pics of the home shirt when it was launched, and the badge was clearly embroidered into the shirt, as ours with Adidas used to be.
  8. Hehe, just seen someone share these images from a Facebook page, claiming these are apparently the new 2nd and 3rd kits. https://www.facebook.com/NUSWW?ref=stream

Aye, Dekka wrote in to 'DIY SOS'.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/newcastle-united-unveil-300000-development-1982181 Chronicle article about the new bar at St James' park, but scroll down to the gallery, and there are some excellent pics of the ground changing over the years.
  11. Aye, not as bad on the umbro/asics replicas, but its a shame the 3 stripes are missing from the sleeves of the adidas replicas, though that is their trademark, i suppose.
  12. Slightly off-topic, but the club shop is now doing retro replicas of the 'Barcode' shirt....
  13. That would be a silver lining to all this - however, just because the injury (hopefully) might not be as bad as feared, it shouldn't detract from the fact that it was still a wildly reckless challenge that McManaman should have faced action over.

Aye, its mentioned on that 'Two Tribes' thing.... Loads of them resentful about the whole 'Tyne & Wear' thing, where they say Newcastle got all the money spent on it, and Sunderland got nowt.
  15. 3 match ban for handling outside the box? thought it was one match for a straight red unless violent conduct, then three' ridiculous Its only a 1 match ban for Bunn... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11709/8577941/Premier-League-Norwich-fail-with-appeal-over-goalkeeper-Mark-Bunn-s-red-card
  16. What would FIFA say about this, though? Fifa agree apparently http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/9198568/Fifa-says-FA-could-take-retrospective-action-next-season.html That's from April 2012, following the Balotelli/Song incident, where FIFA told the FA they could change their rules about retrospective bans in summer 2012. As we have seen today, the FA clearly chose not to.
  17. Ah, that's ok then. Callum, you're forgiven.
  18. At the end of the day, regardless of what the officials did or didn't see at the time, TV replays and photographs afterwards have proven that the challenge was reckless, OTT, a potential leg breaker, etc and it should have been punished once that became clear, even after the event. Its not about re-refereeing the game or undermining the officials, as they put it, and no it wont give us 3 points or change the result - it should have been about sending out a message that those kind of challenges aren't acceptable, and potentially protecting other players from that kind of challenge.
  19. Apologies if its been mentioned/clarified, but Mick Lowes also said on Total Sport, that any talk of legal action against McManaman (like that between Anichibi and Nolan) would have to be instigated by Haidara himself, not NUFC.
  20. There was just a fantastic ding-dong on Total Sport between Mick Lowes and Gabbiadini - well worth another listen later. But at the end Gabbiadini said he'd seen tackles just as bad as McManaman by players at NUFC and SAFC, and cited Cabaye as an example. Have to say, had me shouting and swearing in the car on me way home from work.
  21. Wigan coach also charged with misconduct. WOO-HOO!!
  22. Breaking: The FA have over-ruled Roy Hodgson and cancelled Steven Taylors England call-up. Wouldn't surprise me.
  23. Feel as sick as when the tackle happened with this news. Felt sure the FA would take retro action, given how clear cut it was. Speechless, really. Its an absolute joke.
