  1. Should be aiming for Haagen-Daaz at least.
  2. Around the same time everyone outside of Leeds was saying "eh, who's he, how's he got a call up?"
  3. Which does suggest that Labour lack enough faith in their own socialist ideas to stick by them, and that Britain is fundamentally not socialist. Yes this conversation doesn't belong here though
  4. Easy Arsenal win. They're one of those teams that always turn up against us, no matter how many they are missing through injury. We think the same every year when they rock up missing half their first team just to be totally schooled by their reserves. Draw would be a good result for us
  5. At last some sense spoken above the inherent hatred most have for those in power and the opposition. I know one Labour cabinet member personally, and their ideas of everything are so Tory, they'd make a Tory blush with embarrassment. Also a huge hypocrite when it comes to some of their spiel to get votes
  6. Well if everyone had the chance of a vote on it then maybe it's what the country wants? Doubt that kind of thing would ever happen as too many are rightly against it.
  7. Maybe because he's not actually that good? He worked well for England in a set-up that worked for him, but there's dozens out there in France/Germany/Holland/Spain/Italy who could do the exact same without the hype or premium he would attract.
  8. No it's just democracy. No matter how much people argue, more people voted Tory in this country than for any other Party. Doesn't matter which party they're in...all out for themselves, make their rich friends richer, throw the public a bone every now and then and hope they don't notice that they cant control a single thing that actually goes on. Current politics is purely just trying to point score against each other so come next election they're seen as in charge. The actual good of the people and country is an almost forgotten secondary consideration. If Stamer had put as much effort in to formulating solutions to the countries issues than whinging about Boris having a piss up when he might be a lot more interesting and popular. So in summary, Boris and his evil skivvies are interested in holding control, sod the good of the country. Stamer and his rabble want to make Boris and his lot look like the incompetent miscreants they are, but again sod what's best for the country. As an idea, since this political tribalism clearly puts us all in the s*** all the time, I suggest ditching Parliament, and putting every major decision to an Internet/Phone vote. At least then true democracy would prevail, the majority would always win, and people would have to live with the weight of their decisions rather than blaming it on politicians who don't give a flying hoot anyway
  9. Only want him if he comes with a Flake and Monkeys Blood
  10. Mark Noble is our Paul Dummett...never terrible, never great. Utterly forgettable despite being a good club servant. He'll be a pub quiz question in 5 years. If you ever wanted to describe an average midfielder Mark Noble would fit it perfectly...always on the edge of a call up, but never good enough to actually make it...he's West Hams Colback, with the difference being they àctually quite like him
  11. There might be snidey holier than thou article in the Guardian, but really doubt anyone outside of Newcastle (and Sunderland)will pay the slightest bit of attention
  12. Its some colours. We have had white and green before. Make the crest the usual colours and it's pretty smart. So what if its similar to Saudi Arabia's. Our home kit is similar to Notts County and Juventus....doesn't make it the same or associate them with us. Also as a third kit it might appear maybe once or twice a season and possibly pre-season friendlys. Yes if it's real its an obvious attempt at 'sportwashing' but that was always going to be inevitable whether claimed by media or true.
  13. Well the US has always been a bit odd for sport.... Baseball....a fancy game of rounders Football (NFL, not real football)....Rugby with armour NASCAR...a faster version of WEC/Touring with cars that can only turn in one direction Indycar....F1 on the cheap Hockey/Ice Hockey....please Basketball...expensive netball, but can actually see why this might appeal Think having a higher population over there inflates the value of some of those
  14. Can open.....worms everywhere
  15. Can't stand the collar. Sabic or Aramco are good calls for sponsorship...or Saudi Airlines

    Overrated players

Carvalho was THE master at dark arts. VAR would tear him to shreds with some of the stuff he got away with
  17. So boringly predicable. Do none of these so called world beaters actually fancy a challenge?
  18. Had a Diadora one with NTL on a few years before the Hummel one. Presumably the kit manufacturers think the controversy will sell a few more shirts while appealing to some of the less savoury inhabitants of Glasgow

    Overrated players

Well that was more down to Peter Ridsdale going full Freddy Shepherd and offering him three times more than he was going to ask for
  20. Bit risky with the colour choice surely. Presumably they'll also be handing the players flutes when they walk out against Celtic in this.
  21. Didn't he score the winner in about 3 consecutive defeats against Wigan

    Overrated players

    Nobody rates Mark Noble
  23. Touched on in a previous thread....but who's your stand out c**p player that always has or does cause us huge problems. Ian Woan, Graham Fenton, etc.....you know the type. Doesn't score all season but we make the look like world beaters
