  1. Our centre halfs lack mobility so if they switch off for a second they are cooked. It also highlights the oft complained about issue of our 3 midfielders all wanting go squeeze high without the defence line having the ability to step up. School boy stuff as you mentioned.
  2. He's unreal, literally has it all.

He's unreal isn't he? He's come so far in such a short period. He's not the quickest but he's got a canny engine on him and technically he's obviously one of the best players we have.
  4. Get in cracking win that's more like it. Let's build on it and move forwards now.
  5. We played some really good football in the first half, really good to see. Let's just get a couple of more and bring home the 3 points.
  6. No, I'm telling people not to get their hopes up to avoid disappointment. It's a closed shop and we aren't in it. Furthermore the ladder has actively been pulled and only getting tightened. Unless something changes fundamentally our ceiling is challenging for CL every now and again when the big boys stumble.
  7. Please explain how we catch them. As in what do we do what steps do we take? I see this optimism a lot but I don't see how it's achieved.
  8. Let's see how our next accounts look but I expect we will lose some fire power either way. People will point to bringing the rules in with Uefa which is fine but our punishments which are published and are done on a case by case basis aren't in like with Uefas so any comparison is rendered pretty irrelevant and it's usually an arguement made in bad faith.
  9. AHH glad people are catching up to what I've been saying. Squad cost is GG for us. It's much more stringent than the current rules.

I wrote in the summer we should have moved him on not because he's bad but the age plus injury risk meant it was prudent to recoup and invest. Too bad we didn't and left ourselves exposed again.
  11. He should be really good in a team which can counter press well and dominate possession. He's a very inventive creative passer.
  12. Bobb is injured isn't he? Also he seems like one Pep wants to keep.
  13. Despite all the hard work I've put in pushing to get back to full fitness, I need to take a little step backwards unfortunately, guys. Frustrating as it is for everyone out there waiting for my return & to be able to help the team, these shortcomings also upset & frustrate me more than anybody else. I will, and I am doing everything in my power to rediscover the best version of myself & finally get off this emotional rollercoaster, which I'm hoping 2025 will bring. Appreciate the patience, love & support from all those closest that know how hard I really work & how professional I always am. Callum
  14. Guys let's stop the Wood talk already. This forum and myself included were thrilled when Ashworth almost recouped what we paid for him. He wasn't the long term answer and we absolutely did the right thing in selling him when we could.
  15. If we've learnt something over they years it should be avoid Manchester United rejects. Expensive and rarely motivated to contribute and that's without including any limitations they have as players.
  16. Tosin is free, of course we did the right thing trying to sign him, that's not my point. My point is I wouldn't be trying to sign players for fees who will have no resale value. We've done this before and it's great in the short term but long term it causes issues. . I see the positives of him as a player I like Tomori but as I've said we need a philosophy and a blueprint and we need to stick to it. We can't keep buying safety blankets.
  17. Dont get me wrong, I'm not advocating signing the equivalent of Orsula for centre half, I'm more referring to a profile which is good now with room to grow and of course increase in value.
  18. I think it's crucial we sign players who can be resold personally. We already have a squad full of players with no resale value. Let's not speedrun the Man united time line.
  19. 27 in few days, we probably need a younger profile to be honest. Unfortunately we need to sign players with an eye on resale value we need to be consistently evolving the squad if we want to navigate PSR.
  20. Massively disappointed and also concerning. Boy we are now one injury away from being awful. Zooming out we really needed him to be fit and contribute or the ability to get a few for him. Now neither of those are on the table we are in a bind. Wouldn't be surprised if they extended him as we have a players out of contract and we will have to pick our poison as I doubt we can replace everyone in one window.
  21. I'm not THAT cynical, I do believe they want to win things I just think they are struggling to navigate PSR and instead of being bold and confident we have decided to complain about PSR at every opportunity instead. If everyone believes it's not possible to break the class ceiling we are pretty screwed mind.
  22. He turned us down in the summer as we wouldn't offer him what he wanted. His contract is expiring so he will likely want more now as no transfer fee is involved.
  23. Yeah I hear that, just not sure he's worth the crazy wages we already turned him down for. He'd be another player signed with no resale value which is really bad when you need to player trade.
  24. And how many has he scored in that period of time ?
