  1. Yeah the Arsenal thing confuses me a bit I keep hearing conflicting information about how the finances are for them. according to the athletic this is where they are. In the Premier League profit and sustainability regulations (PSR), clubs are permitted to make overall losses no greater than £105million over a three-season period. Although Arsenal’s combined losses exceed this figure, the leeway clubs were granted as a consequence of the pandemic means they are still in a relatively comfortable position. There has been significant expenditure since then and Arsenal have indicated that financial regulations were a factor in their decision not to enter the January transfer market. This may have been to ensure they could spend significantly in the summer of 2024. that being said, I do feel they have the pulling power if they can finance the deal.
  2. Wouldn’t worry, the sources quoted here would be laughed off if it was bad news.
  3. Yea absolutely, for me though if we take an option which still requires extensive balloting at the end of it we’ve failed in what we should have been trying achieve.
  4. Guys, Guler isn’t coming here as he wasn’t last year. Don’t waste your energy.
  5. You can be banned for a season too, this had happened before but it takes a few serious breaches. PSG are the perfect example, they’ve lost 600m euro in the last 3 years yet here we are. They had Messi Neymar and Mbappe on payroll ffs.
  6. Some of them are and they are punished accordingly. The big difference here is Uefa isn’t so draconian with punishments. The premier league has only recently become so draconian because of our emergence. As you will note the league was silent when Chelsea and City were doing it. Basically the big boys club is full now so something had to be done.
  7. What’s the source for this relaxing or related party stuff?
  8. Yes because it stops the mega clubs running away into the distance. It limits how far ahead they can get.
  9. Wow I’m shocked they agreed to it, the proposal is as stupid as FFP lol.
  10. FFP for you but not for me, the sky 6 classic.
  11. I mean a regulator makes no sense if your the PL or its members, why have someone else influence your business?
  12. I’m a bit concerned the the fa haven’t issued any punishments.
  13. City don’t need to do anything to create headroom to buy him. They make so much money.
  14. Yeah, this has been repeated but I’m not seeing it, we’ve eaten the low hanging fruit the next phase of growth I imagine will be more difficult. Id love to know what the plan is, I’m really curious how they are going to do it.
  15. City don’t usually do transfer sagas so if they are in for him it should be swift.
  16. It’s interesting you mention this, I was having a similar thought, obviously it’s good to reward players for good performance and it’s good for morale, but the other side of the coin is a bit different. If we keep bumping up salaries then we are essentially strangling ourselves in FFP terms (this will be even more acute under the new rules). In the not too distant past, the club have spoken about player trading being needed to progress but we seem very reluctant to actually do it. in terms of future revenue, even if we have a plan it’s only sufficient if we are actually bridging the gap the mega clubs and I still don’t see how we are doing that unless something drastic occurs (new stadium which most are against ) I think ultimately a lot of hard decisions have to be made and soon, we can defer them sure but that’s ultimately going to cause stagnation.

    Dan Burn

I wouldn’t put it down to just that personally, his limitations are obvious and clear to all, also he’s a year older, given his massive frame his drop off was always going to be significant, basically playing him wide means your always going to suffer defending fast transitions.
  18. Castore paying 5 right? Adidas paying 30.
  19. The 25m per year we will be getting will make up for it.
  20. not sure this adds up though, was Tonalis Howe dream signing which was deemed out of reach?
  21. Ohhh that’s really interesting, in Singapore it’s common for employee to buy out notice periods to start a new job without delay. (Yes I realise it’s totally different).
