  1. 100% Giggs would be there ahead of Henry at the very least if none of the recent stuff or the shagging his brother's wife had come out.
  2. It's class. They're fucking raging. Looked under the Sky Sports tweet about it and it's just all them. One suggested Ferguson should be first in and another thinks George Best
  3. Isn't the whole point of Fortnite that everyone bar the winner eventually gets knocked out?
  4. Premer League should just schedule all these teams games for the day after their ESL games and refuse to move them. Let them relegate themselves.
  5. I do because he followed a boom bust cycle based on his own opinion of himself. When he was just hoofing everything out of defence and being a stopper he was fine. Not world beating but as a limited defender he did the job well. But then he'd put together a run of games doing that and his head would inflate to the point where he thought he could actually play football. He'd start trying to do all this fancy shit like controlling the ball or dribbling and obviously would shit the bed spectacularly for a few games then go back to being a hoofer.

Wonder where people are getting the "Has a decent cross on him" from? He's not been over the half way line in about 5 years.
  8. I mean, of course. Right to be livid, but have to understand that he needed to do it. We didn't win the title anyway but a loss was definitely curtains. Nah I fucking hate that mentality. If you've been beaten, take it. You don't get to break the laws of the game. If you're a defender on the post at a corner and the ball starts heading for the top corner and you know you can't get to it you shouldn't just be sticking your hands up to block it. I hate it just as much when our players do it.

He's skirted over this one, obviously
  10. Bruce on will he be Newcastle manager next season: “I sincerely hope so. I’m never going to walk away from it. I have 100 per cent faith in the players and I’m convinced they have the same for me and my staff.” Also Bruce: "I regularly have arguments with the players and am trying to find out which of them is constantly leaking shit to the press."
  11. I think we're beyond that now. The flakes I know thoroughly hate Bruce. They'll still go and put money in Mikes pocket for the same shit next season then the next,Same for most on here I wouldn't get a season ticket but I'd definitely pay Ashley for one game's worth of shouting obscenities at Cabbage Heed
  12. There's a tiny part of me hoping he stays on just because when we finally get fans back in the stadium it's going to be fucking incredible. Wouldn't be surprised if it ends up a full 90mins of abuse aimed directly at him.
  13. Wonder if Ashley's plan is to get us relegated so he can bypass the Prem's owners test
  14. Imagine this lad being stuck behind Shelvey, Hendrick and your own brother stinking the place up week after week and not even making the bench half the time. Must be glad he signed that new contract.
  15. There's people here who'll never concede that the takeover has failed. We'll be sat here posting in decades time and they'll still be all "Announcement on Friday. Mark my words."
  16. Always had a surprisingly high jump for a short-ish lad. Saw him out jump some massive players sometimes. Just made it all the more baffling whenever he'd let something float over his head and result in a goal.
  17. Fucking looooooaaads of ads on the Ramble these days. I used to listen to podcasts on my commute every day but since that isn't a thing any more I just listen every now and again if I have to drive somewhere. Chucked one on this morning in the car and I was pretty much where I was going before the episode even started.
  18. That's exactly what should have happened. Football is so fucked. Wasn't paying too much attention to the game but it looked like every time one of our players got on their bike the end goal was always to drop to the floor as close to the box as possible instead of passing or shooting.
  19. 2nd most shots per game isn't that good a stat when you see those shots and realise they're all dogshit.
  20. He'd be hard pushed to find a less possession based team.
  21. Armstrong looked like a fish out of water in our side. He started well last season too but only ended up with 16 goals in 46 appearances at Championship level. He’s a decent Championship player but doesn’t look any better than that. He only scored 5 the season before despite starting regularly (31 starts). Didn’t realise but he never scored a single goal for us. Toney wasn’t ever given a single chance though and has always looked good whenever I’ve seen him. Arma never got a chance either like. Started one league game for us when he was 17/18 and that was basically the last time he got a chance He made 11 appearances in 14/15 (albeit only 1 start) but his minutes on the pitch totalled nearly 3 full matches, he was fairly poor throughout. We’ve also had him in training/preseason and he’s been sent out on loan to Barnsley, Bolton & Blackburn before he was sold - he tends to perform well at the first part of the season and then tail off (he did it for both Barnsley and Blackburn and has started well again this year). Throughout the whole of that period he has been managed/overseen by 4(?) different managers, including Rafa and none of them have obviously rated him enough to play him. Other than playing him upfront for 5-10 games (with no indication he’s actually good enough for the role), what other chance does he need? On that basis we need to give every youth player a run in the side in the PL before deciding to flog them. It’s hardly like he was given 1 start and then flogged, he was here for years and didn’t show anything at any point that he’d have been a useful player. He maybe could have got more chance when we were relegated, but we had a good squad at that level so he was never needed. The whole youth setup is dreadful and as others have said before, the fact that our youth players tend to move to L2 and below in their career goes to show the poor development we have. I sort of see where you’re coming from here but the alternatives that were given starts turned out to be awful. Apart from the season Armstrong played left wing for Blackburn he’s looked really good, albeit a bit weak (from the odd highlights I’ve seen). I wish he’d have been given a few starts in the Championship to see how he’d have fared here. He’d certainly have been more use to us now in his current state than Carroll, Joselu, Muto and Gayle has been. Toney is a more difficult one and it’s more a pier reflection on how we deal with youth players. He absolutely wasn’t ready at for Premier League football but he started to look decent at the time we sold him. I don’t get why he wasn’t given a new contact and loaned a couple more times. That one will definitely be looked back on as poor business. I'd have liked to see them both given at least a bit more of a chance considering the alternatives at the time but it would be hard to see how they'd have fit into our playstyle (or this league)
