Their first priority should be to get 11 players who can play in front of 50000.
-
If that is true then Rafa has spent £5million on Joselu, simply to force Mitrovic out. Given Rafa'sopinion on £5mill strikers, that is very questionable.
-
Darren Ambrose versus Bolton maybe.

Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

That’s what I thought as well or they couldn’t remember the word dillegence and was like due erm erm process They definitely meant diligence, seeing as "due process" is shorthand for how people are charged/punished for crimes, enshrined in the Magna Carta. Due process could be referring to the legal process, contracts written up etc. No? Not aware of anyone who'd use the phrase that way given the much more widely accepted criminal meaning. Something taking place 'in due course' perhaps. No but somebody wanting to give the impression they know what they are talking about, might mis-use it. -

Not necessarily a must win, but it would be a shame to work so hard at keeping a respectable GD only to give 6 points to Brighton. -
Any forward that Rafa is likely to play is a step up.

Didn't Edgar score with a free-kick against Man U? Big Dunc?
-
Thing is, when a player does it well, and gets the free-kick/penalty, he's often considered 'canny' or 'clever'. Most successful team have an element of this 'canniness' and it is often just part and parcel of a winning mentality.

The young Shearer also benefitted from being allowed to play his own game with a team that tried to play to his strengths.
-
I guss some people never witnessed Shearer's first 4 seasons in England's top division. 114 apps 23 goals similar rate to Mitrovich. But yeah, Southampton sold him. Are you actually suggesting Mitrovic could repeat what big Al done.....Hes not got one ounce of ability needed to be a top striker...no pace,no power, cant head a ball, cant shoot for s*** unless its a pathetic scuffed effort.....yeah hes s**** Not at all. I'm suggesting that comparing Mitrovic, now, to Shearer at the time he was regarded as the world's best striker is harsh.

Hats off to Harry.

He really does. He was probably the most visibly gutted player I've seen after he was at fault for their first. He looked like he want the ground to collapse beneath him, then when he scored was more relieved then happy Big balls to step up and take that free kick tbf. And maybe an intlligent decision to take it the way he did. You see so many embarrassing free-kicks that had he tried to be special he could have really humiliated himself, and the crowd could have given him a hard time. So maybe we have a bold and intelligent player. Still not entirely convinced because obviously he hasn't been demonstrating that to Rafa.

Love the shot of our 2nd goal. in that vid. You don't get that with TV. -
Gayle has scored 26 goals for us, in 45 games, (according to wiki) and therefore has a well established reputation in our minds. Joselu was given a lot of credit in his first game, for getting into 3 goalscoring positions. He has since begun to develop an unfortunate reputation as a shoit finisher. Josleu is now developing a reputation for other positive things now, and I can see him getting a bit more respite going forward.

I can’t really see this approach work, might just be me. I mean, everybody and their dog surely knows we’re in the process of being taken over? Going after the quality of player we need to ensure we stay up will surely show our hand anyway? Why would their prices be lower if it’s Charnley doing the negotiating rather than Staveley (or another newly appointed person)? If anything I wouldn’t trust Ashley & co to actually complete the deals we need based on their track record if it was effectively my club in anything but name. I understand not boasting about a massive “war chest” or wholesale changes just yet (if indeed the plan is to dramatically transform the way the club is run), but not so much how delaying the announcement would help us in the transfer market. My two pence is it’s not fully agreed (yet, hopefully). Masters of disguise Ant 'n' Dec could disguise Staveley as Charnley for the neotiations. -
Henry Serviette did a good job hovering up loose balls, mopping up at the back ad generally soaking up the pressure. He had Juan Sheet all game and he cleared the wall and wipe the smile off West Ham's faces.

Like a new signing.
