  1. The fact we’re still in the PL makes the £25m on Wood pretty good tbh
  2. 6 in a row isn’t an ongoing thing anymore. The ‘streak’ has been broken. So it’s now a historical sequence of results. Doesn’t matter if they beat us, it doesn’t become 7 in a row. Equally, it doesn’t matter if we beat them 8-0, 6 in a row still happened. The only thing that could nullify it somewhat is if we were to go on our own streak to match/better it. They’ll do well to earn the right to play us that many times the way things are at present though.
  3. It’s already been put to bed. If they suggest otherwise, you can’t argue with stupid.
  4. Local Man City journos rubbishing the Bernardo fee story.
  5. Longstaff played virtually every game for Mansfield after he joined…
  6. Carlisle away at Shrewsbury tomorrow. Couldn’t have been much worse for them.
  7. Actually I guess they have to reclassify North/South after the first round? So you could be South in round 1 and North in round 2 or vice versa
  8. Given they’ve got Sutton in the first round, I think you’re probably out of luck…
  9. As pointed out by @jack j in another thread, Sky offering 9/4 for Paqueta to still be at Lyon at the end of this window. Ridiculously we’re 11/10 to sign him. I know Arsenal (6/1) have been tenuously linked but the only real threat I can see to that 9/4 is Man City (7/1), but that will require De Jong to leave Barca, then Bernardo Silva to go to Barca, and then City to actually want him.
  10. Bizarre given how innocuous it seemed at the time
  11. Wood was an overpriced, emergency signing, borne out of the fairly desperate predicament we found ourselves. Having watched the Cambridge game, I don’t think it’s too outlandish to say his presence transformed our performance levels, simply through his physicality and tactical understanding (yes, obviously initially Trippier and later Bruno also had massive impacts) He might not really be suitable for what is required now, but if £25m was the price of staying in the PL, he was absolutely not a “bad, bad signing”.
  12. 9/4 is a ludicrous price given what someone will have to cough up to get him
  13. £40m!? Are we sure Charnley isn’t negotiating their transfers? ??

    Lee Charnley

He’s probably a perfectly capable admin guy. It would be a sensible appointment that would barely warrant comment, had Ashley not made him CEO of fucking everything NUFC-related.
  15. Should be no issues getting a ticket with it being midweek
  16. On sale dates for October’s home games now released. Details in the Tickets forum.
  17. Got a league cup game in two and a half weeks. Ideal for his first start unless Howe fancies switching formation against Man City?
  18. Dan Burn left Newcastle when he was 11 man ?
  19. N-O prior to the transfer window: ‘We need to be sensible with how we approach things, not just go on like Everton and balls it all up’ N-O during transfer window: ‘JUST PAY THE FUCKING MONEY’
  20. ??‍♂️??‍♂️ https://www.evertonfc.com/news/2706026
  21. And he pissed off in a heartbeat and we all begrudgingly accepted he was probably right to do so. And would you look at us now….
  22. This is brilliant and the kind of thing supporting a team should be about. Hope you have a great day.
