It would be even more mental if they scheduled us to play on Sunday given the second leg is Tuesday.
-
Gordon legit could/should have had 6 on his own.

It is, at least from a defending pov (makes trying to block a shot ridiculously difficult), but we can’t really blame refs for enforcing the rules that are in place. And by CL definitions, that was a handball tonight.

What happens if, despite his own certainty, the VAR can see that he’s obviously wrong? If they can’t intervene at that point, seems to defeat the whole point of having VAR?
-
I disagree, but fair enough.

1) If he’s not sure he shouldn’t be giving it in the first place surely? Seems a pointless rule. 2) Yes, same here.
-
What evidence is there of that, other than just your ‘feeling’?

Aye. We knew he wasn’t in the squad yesterday.

If you include keepers maybe 🤣 Average PL midfielder covers 12/13km.

But no American sports teams are then subsequently asked to put in the physical output of a football team.

Probably tomorrow or Friday.

Aye, that’ll be any slim chance of a contract renewal in the summer gone. He’s been fine over the time he’s been here, but his appearance record since doing his ACL at Tranmere is terrible. Will be not unsubstantial wages off the books too.

All said, they’re probably at a similar level to USG. So if we don’t play well, we’ll come unstuck tonight. Play well and it should be relatively comfortable.
-
Tbf, I reckon they could all go to Liverpool and not get beat 6-0
-
They’ll be better than that. And will probably be a handful tomorrow. But we really should be seeing them off comfortably at home.

He defo didn’t say it in today’s presser. Might have been post-Villa?

'We're not 100 per cent sure on both. Sven is feeling his back from the game against Tottenham. We don't think it's a serious injury, and he certainly won't be out for any period of time. But it was the right decision not to let him travel today.‘
