Sven Botman: Out for up to 8 weeks after minor Knee operation (Howe)
SteV replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Got to be careful with his hamstrings, calves and what not. Not playing competitively for 9 months and then trying to do two extremely intensive matches in 4 days is a hell of an ask. -
Jealous of anyone that was there today. Those type of wins are the best away wins in my book. It’s class winning 4-0 and having a nice sing song and what not, but when you’ve got that jeopardy of hanging on and you finally make it, you can’t beat it.

It’s bollocks man. You can’t just lump the ball at someone’s arm from a yard away and get a free-kick.

Sven Botman: Out for up to 8 weeks after minor Knee operation (Howe)

Fantastic to have him back. Despite how important Arsenal is, not sure how wise it would be to ask him to start again on Tuesday? -
Their back five is honking.
-
It’s who they are mate.
-
Watching Hope’s latest video he seems surprisingly bullish about our interest in Dibling.
-
He played in that daft friendly in Australia I think?
-
26 in a few days and played 14 games for Viborg and 5 for Orlando City.
-
If those two CB’s are out I reckon it would be Bissouma and some kid that’s never played before.
-
I think what makes the Burton stand out is that all of the others are lest subjective to some degree, I mean, aye, all blatantly wrong, but for every foul/handball decision you have to interpret what you see and then make a decision. But that night against Burton he just didn’t know the rules, or least forgot them.
-
Perhaps. But it’s not like it’s Rashford or someone like that where it’s a waste of time even considering it.
-
Seems he’s ’only’ on £150k p/w. So large, but not prohibitively so, if there was any interest and/or chance of getting him.
-
Yeah, they aren’t handicapped in an attacking sense. But they’re definitely struggling defensively.
-
Ah, that would make sense. Surely Reguilon’s a better bet at LB? Although Ange doesn’t seem to rate either of them. Hope that judgement is validated whichever one plays.
-
Started three league games. Plus a couple of sub appearances. Played against Man Utd in the cup. Doesn’t seem to have played in Europe, which is odd. He’s not even a LB, assuming that’s where he’ll play if he does, so they’ll definitely miss Udogie.
-
Tbf Spence has played about 3 games, one of which they conceded 6 in and another he got sent off in, so a bit wild to suggest he’s been one of their best players. Ben Davies would also be playing if fit.
-
We’re depleted at the back as well, definitely, but I wouldn’t say to the same extent they are. It would be like missing Burn and Hall on top of what we already are.
-
They’ll have a very good team going forwards against us. A back 5 of Forster, Porro, Gray, Dragusin and Spence, not so much.
-
Pretty much the same as what was previously predicted, but with the added bit that some unknown players could be out ill.
-
To help cover the ~£140m we’d spent the previous summer.
-
Real negative feeling amongst their fanbase at the minute. Similar to Man Utd but the difference being they’d already sacked the manager, so Amorim’s obviously got a bit of leeway. Not the case for Ange. Start like we did against Man Utd (alright Spurs unlikely to be that bad) and the stadium could turn proper toxic.
