Atalanta look nailed on for Top 8 given their remaining fixtures. You’d absolutely take a last 16 fixture with them, even if the second leg was away.
-
Fair. Although we paid a pretty decent fee for him. And he never really went on to significantly perform above the level Bournemouth were at.
-
Who has he ever pied that’s gone on to excel elsewhere? Can’t think of anyone from Bournemouth, although happy to be corrected. Here, you can’t count Anderson as he didn’t want to lose him. Wood?

Don’t think there’s any issue whatsoever with the 5 CL places, but agree we could do with a win for them to keep Tommy Wank going for another week or three.
-
You can’t count that man! 😂

Howey?

Your theory is absolutely correct. However it looks so densely packed (at least from 9th-20th) that it could just end up being a bit of a lottery as to how difficult your playoff opponent is.

I’d want at least double that to even contemplate moving Burn on this summer. He has been, and continues to be, immense for us.
-
I actually think the first season he was here, he was actually alright. Like not great, but a serviceable lower-mid table PL midfielder. Then he got injured and when he came back he was just a liability from that point on. As you say though, should probably have never been allowed through the door.

Anyone seen the footage doing the rounds of the Senegal reserve keeper (I think) having to protect Mendy’s towel from the Moroccan ball boys? Wild. Whilst it was obviously fucking ridiculous for Senegal to storm off and say they weren’t playing anymore, the amount of stuff that seems to have been going on looks very iffy to say the least.
-
I’d refer you to the first half of the Chelsea game.
-
Say we win, would people take results going our way, so we had a realistic chance of Top 8, meaning we go flat out v PSG (who might already have guaranteed Top 8), or them going against us, so Top 8 became very unrealistic, and we decide to semi-sack off PSG?

Unless you know the people involved, I think it’s becoming an increasingly pointless endeavour trying to take onboard the opinions of opposition ’fans’. On Saturday, after the Manc derby, I saw a Man City fan (granted, on Facebook, so arguably the equivalent of reading what’s scrawled in shit on a toilet wall) describe Rodri as ‘Mr gives the ball away’.
-
Tbf, that was forced upon him due to the behaviour of a certain individual. I don’t think he envisioned bringing that many in at the start of the window.
-
I see Saibari’s suspended, although probably questionable whether he would have played so soon after AFCON anyway. Big miss?
-
Last time I was there, and I haven’t been for a while, because the whole experience is not particularly pleasant, we ended up in a Pizza Express sharing a small margarita so we could get a few bottles with it. From what I see and hear now, very few actually bother with Wolverhampton itself, either go around New Street or places outside like Cannock, then straight to the ground.
-
It’s mental these have gone to Anfield and won comfortably, yet got easily turned over at home to USG.
-
That was the ultimate Wolves away experience for all those that went. Nil-nil, dull and pissing down. The sooner they fuck off, the better.
-
Sure I heard Neville cheering like fuck when Man Utd’s first went in yesterday. I like Shearer on co-comms (not necessarily our matches). Think he’s much better in that role than as a pundit.
-
Wraith in there as well. Just sat in corner.
-
Tbf, getting Holly Blades in there might be a canny watch.
-
Yep, because that’s the best combination at present.

We should, all things being equal, dominate the ball. So in that scenario it nearly always comes down to can we create and take enough chances, and can we stop ourselves being too susceptible to the counter.
