Seems a player has finally looked at Chelsea and thought them already having a million players in his position, probably doesn’t make for the best career progression.

The time has probably come that he’s no longer at the level required. But it shouldn’t be forgotten that it was only two seasons ago he played in 5 of our 6 CL matches and didn’t look out of place. He’s been an excellent player.

It’s interesting actually, as Villa ended up going to zero points, and ST holders with zero had priority over members with one (i.e went to the Celtic friendly). You would hope so. I think the issue comes if like Arsenal and Spurs, or the two Madrid teams are both at home on the same night according to the pre-determined schedule. Obviously they’d then have to work that out and it has a knock-on for all the other games.
