To be fair to the ref, he didn’t give that PSG penalty initially (obv because it was never a fucking penalty). It was the clown that was doing VAR that decided he needed to get involved for absolutely no reason that fucked it. Yes, of course the ref should have had a pair of bollocks when sent to the screen, and said he was sticking with his original decision, but I do have a (slight) degree of sympathy for them when they get put in that position, as the pressure suddenly multiplies ten-fold. They are often vastly inflated by people on multiple devices (so obtaining multiple places) and also people leaving/being kicked out the queue, but their ‘number’ still effectively remaining.
