  1. The concept of an arse off has me rather amused I can imagine some Abba playing in the background, perhaps...
  2. Loves a Megarider does Taylor. Who doesn't for £13.80 a week.
  3. Unsure about Rafael Benitez's future at Newcastle but happy to sign for Alan Pardew at West Brom, righto. Strong and stable, strong and stable, strong and stable. Say it enough times and people start to believe it
  4. One for the Burial fans, of which there is many on here... http://i66.tinypic.com/2d9u5vb.png
  5. If I remember correctly it is a weekly basis and only on a game to game basis for UEFA/FIFA matches. No doubt his weekly pay will be suspended until further notice. Or else he will be banned for a couple months without pay. Had the ref not sent him off and just shook the players hand and laughed it off it wouldn’t have seemed half as bad. It was the fact he brought double the attention on himself by then wrongly sending the player off that got him in a real bad spot. The kick itself didn’t even seem all that bad it’s not like he walloped his shin or anything. He has really f***ed himself. Any dream or ambition he had to be a FIFA ref, go to the World Cup, the euros, ref a major final or anything of that nature is gone. I see, thanks for shedding light on that as I've often wondered how it worked with refs. With this French guy the other day though, I just hope he gets the opportunity to clean up his act & continue doing his job. As I say he could have been going through any number of personal struggles; none of which justify acting the way he did, but surely it can't be a one strike and your out basis, that would be very harsh when dealing with a person's living, particularly with what the players themselves get away relatively unscathed with. Unless of course he has a history of treating players in such an unprofessional way...
  6. I don't think so, but why would they put out a press release just for a bid, I guess...
  7. I agree with all of that. On the final/attacking third point you made, I think we do physically speaking have pace up top, we just have no urgency mentally to make use of it. Everything is so ponderous. To be fair to Yedlin he's one of the only ones who injects a bit of urgency on the overlap, even though he cuts back too often having received the ball.
  8. careful of ambiguous sightings on Jesmond Dene... Monkey Dust is brilliant, terribly dark at times - but brilliant.
  9. Do refs get paid on a game to game basis or are they on the monthly payroll of their respective FA's? Bit shit for this guy if it's the former. He shouldn't have done that but we're all capable of fuck ups and you never know what someone is going through in their personal life. Hopefully he can be given another chance if he's had no history of doing similar stuff like this in the past.
  10. Liverpool will beat them today. Then we’ll beat them, or lose 8-0 I still reckon we'll beat them. That's what I like to see, positivity in the face of adversity - go on son
  11. I heard he has been struggling with mental issues. Lots of sympathy for the guy if that's the case, must be a really tough job to do if your heads not right for it; so much pressure & judgement. He looked really talented 4-5 years ago as well.
  12. Waiting in anticipation for a low-res photo of an ambiguous person getting out of a van. Love a good Jesmond Dene sighting me.
  13. Wonder if it will be to our benefit or theirs that the home & away fixtures are so close together. Or maybe it won't make the slightest difference.
  14. To be honest we've always been better with him in the team, even when he was the brunt of the criticism from fans. He has lots of natural ability coupled with superb work rate, especially for his type of player. I really like the guy.
  15. We're hoying bids around left right and centre by the looks of it, brilliant strategy, I hope nobody else catches onto it.
  16. All speculation like, but if we choose not to invest and tow the line of relegation, Ashley must be very open to the idea of not selling the club to the supposed interested party. It would suggest somewhat of an indifference to the sale of the club this time round rather than a thing he actively wants to happen. Strange gentleman, perhaps the most indecisive ruthless billionaire we could have been blessed with. That said, if I was putting a camera up for sale, I would likely be content to wait to get the best price possible, rather than just accepting the first offer that came my way; however, I would also be very cautious of continuing to use the camera in the meantime incase of potential damage and therefore decreasing the value all together. I think that's where we potentially might be come February/the end of the season. Damaged goods. The silver lining is we have a good manager and a group of players who want to, and will work very hard for him. I have more faith in this group of players to keep us up than I did in the squads of years gone by, despite them being higher in quality.
  17. That's a shame, I was envisaging a great song for him to the tune of Dancing Queen.
  18. Both look s*** and are Adidas templates with an added ugly NCL logo You're right unfortunately, wanted to like them but the badge is shoddy and the overall execution is lacking, especially as they were going for the Juve feel which is super high-end for a football shirt.
  19. Great stuff, he's got such a youthful spirit does Klopp, still very much in love with the game.
  20. Yeah another small centre forward is definitely not what we need. We already play too many aimless long balls to Gayle & Perez, who fair play to them, work their socks off to try and make something of them but it's just not their game.
