  1. Nowt hyperbolic about the statement that Shelvey is our best footballer like. He is
  2. Shelvey is horribly underrated on here. Straight swap for Sakho? More like £20m +Sakho. Shelvey is our best footballer you mad heads, suicidal.
  3. Beardsley currently sitting in cold sweats hoping El-Mhanni doesn't show up front & centre at the end...
  4. Posted this in the photo thread earlier, but I love this banner of him Must feel mental for the lad, he's on his way to legend status here due to his braveness on & off the pitch in the last few years. http://i64.tinypic.com/wjweh0.jpg
  5. Legend, used to love him. Hope he's okay if true.
  6. I know but Ashley is admittedly not that hands-on with the negotiating etc anyway, so him being present or not seems somewhat irrelevant...
  7. I don't understand why Ashley has to be in the country for the ball to get rolling? We're in the age of smartphones & instant worldwide communication, seems bizarre for this to be a hold up? Surely can't be as simple as Ashley is on holiday so we can't sign anyone until he's back? Seems very simplistic.
  8. Will finish 7-5 to Arsenal a la Reading years ago.
  9. Akpom still about like Seems like he's been on the scene for ages.
  10. Eh, didn't realise Jens Lehmann is assistant coach at Arsenal these days. Loved him as a keeper
  11. Was really good against us earlier this season iirc.
  12. Isco too would be an amazing Coutinho replacement. Mahrez not so much.
  13. Really? It still boils my p*ss! Gary Monk had just been given the Swansea job. The media were all over this success story, played for the club for a decade and was gonna step up when the club needed him. Carra and co were so far up his arse. Newcastle United in the exact same situation were literally laughed at. I don't know about all of that, I just found Carragher's snigger hilarious, as let's face it, the idea of Coloccini being the manager of Newcastle was bloody funny. Especially at the time when all the talk was about how much he wanted to be back in Argentina...
  14. Certainly not as good as everyone feared he would be. It's one thing doing it off the bench for Man Utd under Alex Ferguson. Leading the line for West Ham is like being on a different planet & he's not exactly thriving on it.
  15. What was he saying there which was "Talking s****"? He's also by far the best pundit on TV. He is. Much smarter than what I thought he was. I like his no nonsense style of punditry & he's usually bang on with what he says, not just about strikers either.
