  1. It feels like we have no aggression and no leaders on the pitch. We're second to every ball, no bite, no grit and nothing in getting the basics done. Half the time we look like we're doing the hokey cokey when tackling!
  2. Gordon frustrates the tits off me, he's been shit for ages now, ever since having his head turned by a potential Liverpool move. He can't pass, can't keep possession and can't score. That aside though, this Man Utd team are there for the taking and we're struggling, yet again, like we have no balance or drive to keep the ball (or get it back when we lose it). And on a side note, why the fuck is Gary fucking Neville commentating on a Man Utd match? Absolute prick.
  3. Did I just hear right that tomorrow's ref is from Greater Manchester?
  4. Only Sunderland could be so jammy as to having to rely on their derby rivals to win the match for them by scoring the only goal in the game! It is what it is though, no point in dwelling on it - it was hardly that the mackems played us off the pitch, we literally won the game for them. I just wish we'd get back to playing like we did when we pressed more, maybe a bit more 4-4-1-1 as well. Would happily see the back of Gordon and Elanga right now, but I must admit I wonder if they'd be better with a change in tactics, Eddie's reluctance to change it up does appear to be hamstringing us in recent times (and I hate saying that, because I love Eddie).
  5. I think, away from home, we've gone with a plan, we've executed it so far - not pretty, but we didn't concede any silly first half goals when they were raring to go. Think Elanga's been particularly poor, think Murph would be better. It wouldn't surprise me if we were playing to frustrate, with the odd counter, until later in the match, then bring on Barnes and Murph towards the end for a potential smash and grab... hopefully.
  6. Recent form says us, but they jammy bastards will probably catch us on a bad day where the players get jittery
  7. To be honest, I don't really mind it. I just hope the Americans don't go too overboard with the half-time guff, including interviews and entertainment. The one thing that really worries me is if they tried to sneak in some of that awful individual player coming on the to pitch crap like they did with the world club cup or whatever it was.
  8. For me, the difference in having Hall and Tino back and in their natural positions, along with the confidence from having Ramsdale over Pope at the back, made the difference. I'll always rate Barnes over Gordon, if I'm honest, I think Gordon's already gone, probably got his head set on going to Liverpool. The only change I'd have been tempted with today would have been Murphy on the right over Elanga, but if it helps Elanga get into our way of playing then so be it. Also helped Burn that he was playing in his natural cb position too I think. All in all, a pretty damn good day!
  9. Not sure about the changes or not tbh, presume Tino and Fab coming off is a fitness thing?
  10. Is it a confidence thing with Gordon? What exactly is his problem? He's been pap for ages and his decision making's been awful!
  11. Ha! Well if that's not karma for going down soft, I don't know what is
  12. I think I like these two the best - I love how they somehow think 'we' screwed them over as well, like we'd persuaded them to tap Isak up, turn the player's head, encourage the player to go on strike and then lowball us for a player who we'd had scoring well for us.
  13. I have zero faith in any rules, new or old, being anything other than a way of the entitled few to control their income and ability to be unchallenged on transfers, regardless of their performance.
  14. Eh? Albania? C'mon, they're shite. England should be spanking teams like that, it's poor. Bloody nil-nil until late on indeed.
  15. Albania... ALBANIA? Really?... Urgh, tedious.
  16. Oof, shocking penalty kick by the mackems there. I've been watching for 10 mins and, it's not 'great' though is it.
  17. How come, the Mackems invariably seem to play us when we're not at our best or when we've got some issue/crisis going on? Bloody typical. Fucking football.
  18. I guess we are missing our first choice left and right backs in Hall and Livramento, that's got to affect our attacks. As as only having Big Nick to employ up front, making our attack options pretty one dimensional. Player-wise, the only two that I'm really disappointed with this season is Gordon and Pope, neither have shown any reason to keep Barnes or Ramsdale from taking their places.
  19. I'm not going to slate Eddie other than not having taken Burn off. Still, I don't see why we're not playing the aggressive, pressing football we have in previous seasons. That's what's getting me and it's not like the team's changed that much.
  20. Get a grip, there's no relegation fight this early in the season
  21. Burn should have been subbed, everyone other than Eddie and the management team seemed to know.
