And the rest, that's just PSR and FFP making sure the game's fair all round and competition is at is most thrilling...

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)
Armchair Pundit replied to Miggys First Goal's topic in Football
I'm just fed up with how every transfer we make (barring the youngsters) seems to end up being drawn out and full of drama. Will we ever go into a transfer window and have our main targets tied up early on and subsequent targets bought with minimal fuss? -
It must sting the Saudis/PIF. Imagine having all that money, but made to look like grovelling, poor relations. It's about time they started thinking about pulling the law into this and going on the attack with how much PSR/FFP is stopping us (and other teams like us) from progressing or rigging the transfer market competition in favour of the established teams.

Counting down the hours until Chelsea release a statement saying they've bought him (... or Liverpool or Arsenal, etc) -
The annoying, repetitive stories of Liverpool wanting Gordon or Isak after the amount of money they've already spent, of Chelsea buying every player we get linked with, of Man Utd spending - how is any of that fair and competitive? Fucking PSR bollocks gets on my tits, while we're clearly hamstrung and discouraged from spending - we're lucky that we've got Elanga, but he's the only first team player we've got in for ages, if anything he's a replacement for Miggy. Fucking scam shit rules.

Thing is, it turned out while watching it that the commentators were pronouncing it 'Ming-Ger', which sounded like 'Minger', so not a massive improvement either way!

Why am I just finding out now that the German women's team has a defender called Minge? ... it's literally resurrecting my juvenile sense of humour.

Financial Fair Play / Profit & Sustainability
Armchair Pundit replied to Mattoon's topic in Football
I presume teams like us, Everton, Villa, Forest are still waiting on the outcome of the eternal Man City legal case before there's any movement on attacking the Premier League with any anti-competitive lawsuits? I'm just at a loss as to how PSR/FFP is still in place when it's so heavily favouring teams with already established revenue. The fact Liverpool, Chelsea, etc have spent as much as they have and teams like Man Utd are still able to spend despite being in enormous debt, it's just blatant rigging at this point, while we're barely able to scrabble around for youngsters who might or might not ever make it into the first team further down the line. -
Silly me, I thought we might actually have a transfer lined up for as soon as the PSR window reset... disappointing In the meantime, Chelsea going wild in the market again.
-
Can we work on releasing a fake list of players we're supposedly targeting, maybe even line up some fake bids, next transfer window? So that Chelsea buys a load of shit that aren't worth the money and we were never actually interested in?

Sky Sports saying we're looking at alternatives for Elanga - Karim Adeyemi looks good
-
Is this not because we're waiting until the end of the current PSR period though? (So, the end of June) (Still disappointing in comparison to others, mind)

It's alright Man Utd buying these players, but are they Amorim's choices for his chosen setup? Or are they being pushed on him from above? A bad start to next season and Amorim is gone, along with pressure on the next guy to hit the ground running. Just hope it's only the mackems that are worse than them by the end of it (can't see it myself though, the table this year feels like a it's been a perfect storm of shit teams and inconsistency across the board for the league table to finish like it did. I'm sure we'll make some good 'Eddie' signings, hopefully it's enough to be some decent strength in depth to cope with the extra games.

Nothing special, still wouldn't bother, especially for the sort of money Parish is likely to try and hold out for again.

Someone said to me that if both the keeper's feet are inside the box, then it's okay - my understanding was that handling the ball outside box regardless was a red. Seems a bit fishy to me, especially with VAR checking it.

I don't like Palace, I think they're a shit team with shit fans and a shit owner and fluked their sorry asses to a trophy. It may not be a popular opinion, but there it is

Best I can do on my break in Paint 3D Not too dissimilar to the current badge, just simplified really I suppose. I'm not sure it bothers me to be honest.

Though I'd definitely prefer Everton to be amongst the relegated teams, they've deserved it for so long
-
Just makes a massive mockery of the 'Champions' League, they couldn't be further from Champions if they tried
-
I don't think Arsenal will lose mind, LiVARpool's gone on holiday since winning the league, at least that's what it looked like against Chelsea. I imagine the official's won't bother helping them as much now either, seeing as their job is done for the season.
-
Just a horrible thought, embarrassing for the Champions League, embarrassing for the Premier League
-
All the shit we read about Man Utd wanting Tonali, Man City wanting Bruno, Arsenal wanting Isak, Villa wanting Barnes - what fucking delusional world do these cretins live in? Why the fuck would we want to sell any of our better players, especially in areas that give us some real strength in depth? The mind boggles! Could see us selling Longstaff maybe, Wilson or Lacelles, but I just can't envisage any possible circumstance, especially with us being in better PSR shape currently, where we'd sell any of our better players.

I've got to admit, it bothers me less than I thought it would. Though that could all change if the new crest looks shit I suppose.
