  1. The scouse pronunciation of it will be absolutely class.
  2. Can't stand Chelsea but I don't think you can factor them in as tickets like.
  3. Actually really looking forward to the obscene amount of Brazil Scout videos I'll watch this summer.
  4. Villa 2-0 Spurs Chelsea 2-0 Man United Everton 1-0 Southampton West Ham 1-1 Forest Brentford 2-1 Fulham Leicester 1-2 Ipswich Arsenal 2-1 Newcastle Brighton 1-1 Liverpool Palace 1-1 Wolves Man City 2-0 Bournemouth
  5. That article that summarises what the journalist was saying Sounds really promising. Wonder if he's the 'go big' to Trafford that Isak was to Joao Pedro.
  6. Shouldn't Spurs be an option on there?
  7. I think Spurs winning is the obvious choice. Pros They might keep Postecoglou Man United are the bigger long-term threat and more likely to splurge - we don't want them in the CL and with more money to spend Man United losing to Spurs of all teams would be really funny and potentially knock their confidence Man United might have to sell some players they don't want to Spurs probably aren't ready for CL next season anyway Man United are more unlikeable During Man United's 'failure' era they've still won 5 trophies, I want them to actually fail Cons Spurs are still unlikeable and it would strengthen their hand Man United can concentrate on their league form Postecoglou gets to say he continued his second season trophy winning thing
  8. Razer and Ando regularly refer to us as United, we chant United, and we're literally Newcastle United. It should blow my mind that there are Newcastle fans who don't get it, but nothing surprises me anymore.
  9. I think I would be now like. I wasn't when we got Pope, but once I saw him play the difference having him vs Dubravka was night and day. A top 'keeper is a massive difference maker.
  10. The title is clickbait, but it's the one on the right that he's saying was leaked, which is right.
  11. VVD was like this after he came back from his ACL.
  12. Can still smell the unique smell those 'keeper tops had.
  13. I mean fair enough, offside just seems like the odd one to pick out when it's one of the few things in football that's truly binary. We can argue about what advantage is or isn't gain, but players are either onside or they're not. Providing it's done right and quickly with automation it'll eventually ideally be like goal-line technology. Everything else is still always going to be subjective to a certain extent and cause controversy when VAR gets involved.
  14. But you also want rid of VAR altogether don't you?
  15. I'm sure this has happened to us before where one of our players that's been nominated for player of the season won't (or probably won't) win our own player of the season.
  16. It's completely avoidable only by binning something that just like with a lot of other things in football that include risk (and I know you won't agree) has huge upsides for a downside that has a tiny amount of risk. I'm really not framing it as you're entire argument, I know you have loads of reasons you don't like VAR and I share some of them with you. Here you're saying this is another thing to throw on the pile of reasons to get rid of VAR, I'm just saying that this one thing has a really weak argument supporting it that highlights a bias more than anything else.
  17. I know you hate VAR Yorkie, but I think you're guilty of a huge dose of confirmation bias here. There being a risk isn't enough, there's obviously some amount of risk with everything, so you would think that it's about whether the risk is significant enough to warrant a change. That risk actually resulting in a concequence only once in 6 years in a sport where there are risks absolutely everywhere with the same potential consequences doesn't strike me as a strong argument for getting rid of it. I was on board with the argument that these late offside calls were dangerous, sort of presuming that they would happen, but the evidence just hasn't backed it up at all like.
  18. Exactly, it's good! In all seriousness the reactions to it are really confusing. To love the current badge but hate that is mad, it's just the current one made to look a bit meaner, that's it. It's also only a rough sketch.
  19. If this is the first time this has happened in 6 years surely the other scenarios are much more examples of the norm than they are hypotheticals.
  20. If it's the first time that it's happened in 6 years, surely that's proof that it doesn't increase the liklihood of injuries?
