Met him once. About 2009 in the bar of Northenden Golf Club. I had just played a round with a young lad from work (scratch golfer) who was a Man Utd fan. Denis was good company and very good with his clearly awe struck fan boy. RIP.

Southampton vs. Newcastle United: 25/01/25 @ 15:00 (No UK TV)

Shame Fab’s mate Brereton Díaz has been deemed surplus to requirements and fucked off on loan to Sheffield United. By shame, I mean absolutely delightful turn of events which gives me faith that there is actually some justice in this world. ( …that game seems so long ago) -
So the Guehi stuff in the summer was just speculation?

Spot on. These performances happen. Even to the best sides. Manure shipping 11 goals in two games and still winning the league in ‘96-97 comes to mind. Worst thing about yesterday’s performance for me was a flash forward to a potential cup final. The reminder of what can happen to us when we don’t turn up evaporated my sense of hope that even if we get Liverpool we could beat them in our current run of form. Too many disappointments, in crucial games, hovering in my memory.

You/he/they/she positive?

Is this known as spread betting?

21 games played, 55% of the season. 14 points above Spurs, 12 above Man Utd, 7 above Brighton, 3 above both Villa and MAN CITY, 1 above Chelsea. Only three points below third place (occupied by a team we have beaten twice this season). Only five points below second place (also occupied by a team we have beaten twice this season). We are so finishing fourth or above. Latter is my guess.

Bournemouth at home, last five games: DWDWW. Over seven years since they won here. We’re so much better now. -
Ruel Fox for me.

Thought I'd update the league record for Eddie's tenure. It's compared to all PL era managers who had had at least a full season's worth of games. He's the 4th longest serving, in the 'Premiers' era. Second best points per game. 3rd best highest placed finish. Third best goals scored. 2nd best goal difference. Second best win percentage. It would look even better if we only counted from when it was 'his team' (which would be a fairer comparison with Keegan, though not the others), i.e. from January 2022 the points per game becomes 1.78, best ever. As does the win percentage at 52%. However you cut it, not too shabby and can, hopefully, soon become indisputably our best performing manager of the modern era.

Mmmm, well ask the plethora of men named Kevin and women named Keegan how they coped 😉

Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season

Add that to the current one. We might just about fit both in during the minutes he’s usually on the pitch. -
Worst ever mixed metaphor contender alert: perhaps we can moisten the powder a little and tug our socks down a little? You know, not talking about going bare foot but a bit of floppy-toe-material to get us through the dark days?

Definitely seemed like he was saying goodbye. Gan canny, Martin 👏 -
After we score the second 😉

Tonali quietly, in the main, has made such a difference to our overall play. Really showing his worth.
