  1. Either those subs are a stroke of genius or he’s completely lost the plot.
  2. Joel Bland seems to know the score as well.

    Yoane Wissa

Be crazy at this point if he went to the AFCON and proceeded to play on shite pitches. Very sensible by the club to play down his fitness and availability at this stage.
  4. I really like Anderson but just don’t see us paying anything over 60 to get him back. For those figures I think there’s better value for money and don’t think he’d actually raise our current level significantly enough.
  5. Shearer knows the score.
  6. Seems to be a lot of clubs linked with him but he definitely looks the type of player where crying out for in midfield. Someone like him or Sancet from Bilbao is where we should be looking to spend big next.
  7. It could be in there but does it get the crowd really going before kick off not sure?
  8. I would ban Internet access and phone signal in the ground personally. Apart from that can’t wait for new stadium.
  9. The FAB don’t look the types to be concerned with the match atmosphere, hardly a representative sample of your average local fan. We should have a local song from Lindisfarne, or Sam Fender before launching into a decent version of the Blaydon Races just before kick off. Agree we’ve always sang Geordies but as stated above it’s become generic shite. We have so much local music history there’s just no need for it and what about ‘Coming Home’, from Busker another absolute classic that should be a staple.
  10. The lad in midfield they signed from USG won’t be there long, only 20 and looks like a young Kante. Think he was in the Belgian League Team of the Year and has been nominated for African young player of the year. Cant knock their recruitment and no reason they can’t finish mid table if they stay clear of injuries.
  11. Thought atmosphere was decent from my posh seat in the Milburn. Thoroughly enjoyable day on Barrack Road, might even venture again this season following my self imposed exile.
  12. Never mind Wirtz and Isak what the fuck has happened to Kerkez? Thought he was brilliant at Bournemouth and arguably the best LB in the league.
  13. He’s Teddy Sherringham no better comparison for me. Problem being Howe doesn’t play with a 10 and he’s crying out for an Andy Cole type striker to link up with.
  14. Think they’ll be starting to fancy their chances for the derby now and nothing will be finer.
  15. Have a feeling Wissa will end up playing out wide and it will increase our goal threat considerably.
  16. I see nowt in this lad to suggest he can even do the basics well. Seems like a nice lad and gives his all but it’s not enough unfortunately.
  17. Feels like a big win but we always make it hard work against these teams. Full backs are the biggest issue at the moment and once we get them back our play will move up a notch.
  18. Good spine to their team with the Keeper, Xhaka and the lad up front seems to have a knack of scoring. Said In the summer their recruitment strategy is very good and they’ll do alright. Think they’ll still do well to finish top half though and be surprised if the honeymoon lasts much past November.
  19. Plenty of singles popping up on website if anyone still looking. Nabbed myself a nice one in the Milburn earlier. Howay The Lads
  20. The Combined Authority has been in the press and the rest is from a good contact who I trust. No decision is the public line but decision has been made and it’s a new stadium.
  21. The club are playing this perfectly everything being put in place behind the scenes. The Combined Authority is now in place to fast track planning approval and all stakeholders now on board. The decision has been made, the meeting minutes are all about controlling the narrative and it’ll be the biggest development the North East has seen.
  22. Couple of interesting names at the top of this. Still think the lad from Leicester was what we needed instead of Ramsey.
  23. The last winger we signed from Forrest was a certain Franz Carr for those of a certain vintage. For those who are not old cunts he was also lightening quick. Unfortunately that’s not where the comparisons stop, he also used to run into opposition players, run aimlessly out of play without seeming to realise where the touchline was and perfected the art of crossing the ball out of play. Early days of course but the lad doesn’t even look like a footballer at the moment.
  24. Isn’t many goals in that midfield 3 at the moment, which is why I found it surprising he didn’t bring Ramsey on for Joelinton. Throw in wide forwards who don’t produce much end product and it’s no wonder where struggling to be honest.
