  1. It’s a different event for them. They’ll just turn up a couple of hours before the game and expect to leave as winners. I guess that’s what happens when you’re used to the big occasion. It’s a massive day out for us and one we all want to soak up and enjoy for as long as possible
  2. Not a single Man Utd out earlier this morning between 9.30am and 11am. Wembley was black and white
  3. I take your point and I’d blame Trippier more for both goals. He dropped deep for both goals and then didn’t track the run from Nunez on the first - instead he seemed to be concerned about Robertson out wide when that was never the main threat.
  4. I’m worried about the balls being played in behind our defence for Rashford and Sancho. That’s why I’d be tempted to play Willock as we need to keep good pressure on the ball to stop the pass being played. We can’t be having a situation like on Saturday when a player like Trent was given all the time in the world to look up and spot a pass
  5. I don’t think you can go into a game like this without Longstaff’s energy. Especially since ASM will be playing and that tends to leave us more exposed.
  6. I’d be tempted to play Isak for the change in style. Didn’t Wilson have a pretty poor game against these lot in the league game with Varane easily dealing with him? In saying that he did have that stonewall penalty incident, but I remember being frustrated with him

    Loris Karius

Agree. A perfect redemption story for the man. Especially since whenever that champions league final is talked about everyone forgets to mention he played the game concussed after Ramos deliberately elbowed him in the head
  8. Feels like 70 plus points will take us there by the looks of it. That’s around 10 wins. It’s pretty hard to see that in the current form, but we will turn it around at some stage I’m sure of it. I’m hoping it starts next weekend
  9. I have to say that Trippier’s defensive positions have been suspect since he arrived. He also seems to regularly be the last man playing the attacker on side when the line pushes out. I guess that’s the price you pay for his forward ability
  10. He excels when the shape and structure is thrown out the window and he can just play. I miss watching those runs forward where you don’t know what the hell is going to happen next
  11. Was just telling the wife this whilst she ignores me. Everything going wrong today so that next week we’re at it
  12. This has been the most flattering score line for a team with a man advantage. We’ve actually been really good all night, just caught by stupid balls through the middle
  13. Awful news. Condolences to his family and friends - rest in peace lad
  14. I’m of an age that missed everything that he did for us with a full memory, but I could listen to the man for hours on end such is his passion for our club and just football in general.
  15. Where have you seen this? Sounds like to good to be true given that he only needed to start three games to make it permanent!
  16. Very close. Always thinking the guy is overrated every time I watch him play
  17. Wish I knew about it as I always thought those types of tickets were in the thousands - would’ve been joining you there at that price
  18. I wonder where Ward-Prowse ends up if Southampton go down. I really feel like the guy has wasted his career up to a point by remaining so loyal. Wouldn’t be surprised if he stays with them in the Championship
  19. Well then they’re in major trouble. Those emails are just so bad, I can’t see anything other than a massive fine and severe penalties
  20. Yeah they’re totally screwed, but they’ll find a way to get off as with the UEFA case
  21. That’s what I’m thinking too. If I were them, I’d just negotiate a points deduction quickly so it comes into force this season. They don’t look anywhere close to the usual title winning sides this year and they don’t want to get done next season where they’ll surely improve
  22. I’m still astounded by the amount of draws. Especially since over half of those games we should’ve taken the points. I really think we are around 8-10 points down of where we deserve to be. I’m hoping a cup final win will help the charge for a top four finish. Man City used to love winning the League Cup because it takes all the pressure of winning something from the season with half of it left to go.
