I have to say that Trippier’s defensive positions have been suspect since he arrived. He also seems to regularly be the last man playing the attacker on side when the line pushes out. I guess that’s the price you pay for his forward ability

He excels when the shape and structure is thrown out the window and he can just play. I miss watching those runs forward where you don’t know what the hell is going to happen next

That’s what I’m thinking too. If I were them, I’d just negotiate a points deduction quickly so it comes into force this season. They don’t look anywhere close to the usual title winning sides this year and they don’t want to get done next season where they’ll surely improve

I’m still astounded by the amount of draws. Especially since over half of those games we should’ve taken the points. I really think we are around 8-10 points down of where we deserve to be. I’m hoping a cup final win will help the charge for a top four finish. Man City used to love winning the League Cup because it takes all the pressure of winning something from the season with half of it left to go.
