I'd rather have Big Joe over Caicedo, he's clearly highly rated but I've not seen that much from him to warrant half that price.

Manchester City vs. Newcastle United: 19/08/23 @ 20:00 (TNT Sports)
Oregon_Geordie replied to HaydnNUFC's topic in Football
Unchanged. Agree on it's a free hit - let's fucking have a go at them. They're human and lost a few players recently. Rather draw here though and smash the scousers at home - pay back to Klopp for all his whining. The video of the Liverpool fans giving our team shit coming off last year should be on repeat pre-game on every screen in St James. Hope we make it fucking intense and uncomfortable for that lot. -
Wish some would stop looking for a weak link and just trust the manager and his team. He's not quite firing on all cylinders but he's doing well, and he's surrounded by better players now also. He stood out like a sore thumb when he arrived. Just fucking enjoy it, players have lulls in form. He's still loving it here, look at his fucking celebration and hair ffs.

Canny game, two completely different styles. Fucking hate both these clubs, especially the slack jaw German dickhead in the dugout. Observations...Gallacher is pony... Liverpool look sharp going forward but can't defend and look wide open.

Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)

Sub at the least. He sets the tone for much of our press. I'd like us to have another top-quality RW to challenge/rotate, ala Barnes & Gordon. -
Other than the Wilson goal. I think he assisted the assist. And yes scored. Top Banana!
-
He, and Gordon and the subs are gonna torture some teams in the last 15 of games. Pace to burn coming off that bench, either way.
-
Could have had a hattrick - was so unselfish. Top talent - direct as hell.
-
He's the Botman of Midfielders. Some debut!
-
What a team. What a Manager. Great start and the confidence we need for the next 2. Tonali, prime Italian baller there in the middle - one driven premium mother fucker that kid. Gordon was a top draw. Great start to my day! HWTL's!

Newcastle United vs. Aston Villa: 12/08/23 @ 17:30 (Sky Sports)

People gannin on like Villa are prime time Barca. We have more than enough to beat this lot. Hope Tonali has a blinder. Excited to see him with Big Joe next to him. Happy for Gordon too. Not sure Villa have a Anderson, Wilson or Barnes to come on for 20mins if needed. -

Watkins or not - Let's fucking have them. If we play to our best and the fans make it lively, we should beat these. I am looking forward to it. -
Just managed to get it here on a VPN. Thought it was great, just nice to see the city I miss so much and decent fans talking sense about it. They're never gonna give it all away but just nice to have insight into our club and it running well It jumps around a fair bit though... Can't seem to please some folk lol. Seans is a good lad too!

Some of these knockoffs are absolutely horrific like, got to be said. Like something you'd win at the Hoppings. The crests look like they were drawn by Stevie Wonder and are 20% too small.
-
He played over 20 games last season and scored 7 times, I guess that's very average. But aye, I agree he's had injury problems.
-
And Tino isn't? Both are young enough to figure that out.
-
Zaniolo looks perfect for that RW spot. Thunderous shot too and a mate for Sandy Very interesting option.
-
Thought overall he had a decent if not spectacular game. In spells, especially the second half he started to drop a little deeper and dictate the game a little more. He's clearer a very smart footballer, getting to grips with a new setup, teammates, and expectations of him tactically. I think he's gonna be a great signing, but I agree Eddie might transition him in to give him the best chance of success. Have a feeling it will be Big Joe, Bruno and Anderson starting against Villa.

That Sam Fender?

Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to Tour Singapore
Oregon_Geordie replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
Watching this. Very patchy - lots of misplaced passes and transitions. Back 4 bar Targett has looked decent - Targett does look a bit heavy and slow on the turn, slower than Burn dare I say. Midfield is ok, Tonali hasn't done much tbh. Anderson is the pick of the bunch along with Gordon and Isak. All in all, a pre-season game -

There are thousands of blokes on Instagram posting amateur football goals and moves that are actually 1000 times better with the ball than Paul Dummett. It's madness how bad he is with the ball at his feet lol -
