    St James' Park

deleted that app a year ago - biggest pile of shite ever. Delete and your life becomes so much easier!
  2. Its obvious once Bruno gets up to speed, the midfield 3 should be Joelinton, Bruno and Willock. Big call by Howe needed when the time comes
  3. really really good this guy. He was only beaten once and he showed intelligence to bring the guy down before he got away from him. Loved that..... Great start to his NUFC career
  4. Just back from the match and St James was rocking! I thought Targett was immense! ASM quiet 1st half but 2nd half he was brilliant - he actually passed at the right times today. Trippier - will be the best £12M we will ever ever spend. Shelvey, as soon as the tackle went in I thought Red but so glad it wasn't, still worry about him. Bruno nice little cameo but looked quality. Willock he starting to make his runs again I think with Bruno he could just have a very good 2nd half to the season. Onwards and Upwards - its in Howe hands!
  5. we can't go from 0 to 100 in one step. We need to build the foundations and bring the whole club up to a level to then take the big step. Thats why Conte etc were no starters - they would struggle at NUFC at the moment as there is no structure/support structure that they are used to, in place at the moment
  6. wonder if in the DOF interview with Staveley when she said that's the end of the interview, is there anything else you would like to add for us to consider........that was his response?
  7. if we can't finish above these two teams (and Norwich) something has seriously gone wrong and we would have deserved to go down!
  8. Why do we never get a new manager bounce? Anyway, Brentford are in freefall it seems
  9. wonder if that price will be honoured if I cash in the old NUFC share I purchased way back in John Hall time. What a nice little earner that will have been
  10. Maybe he can get tips off Marco for batter!
  11. Here are the players that contracts expire this year and next. So would you Sell, Expire or Keep. For me all those in 2023 I would look to sell in the summer and I would let those in 2022 expire. 12 players in that list. 2 or 3 at a push you could debate about but it really is quite a poor group, IMHO
  12. he is 21 and has only played 19 league games. He needs game time and I suspect his confidence built back up. Dropping down to league 2, may be a good move for him. Hope he shines. Good luck Matty!
  13. Board have earned a well earned break. Between now and end of season - get the senior management in place - CEO, DOF, club secretary. Potential signings is just speculation for now - personally will not pay any attention to it.
  14. Hopefully - he brings nothing to the pitch, except getting grass stains on his arse from an injury every game
  15. Why are people now trying to shoot down Wood. His record shows for the past 4 seasons he averages 10+ goals a season. Last season he had a slow start and then picked up in the second half of season. Its clear that Wood wasn't their 1st choice - they reacted and then tried to get another striker in. Like it or not he is a NUFC striker now - the alternative is Gayle - wonder what his stats are for the past 4 years.........anyone, anyone, anyone.............
  16. Dummett, Shar and Longstaff should not have their contracts renewed. Let them all go, we need a start the full removal of the old squad.
  17. Im a 4 at this point. Its all on Howe now and if you look at the 1st team, that should be capable of mid table. If we get relegated then something has seriously gone wrong.
  18. So when Bruce was manager, most if not all NUFC fans said the squad was mid table but it was bad management that kept the team from performing. We have now added 5 players, which to be honest will all come straight into the 1st team. We should be safe, I hope we are.
  19. One major major thing to take away though. Its was the clubs that thwarted our plans. The players were willing to come to a relegation threaten team. Stay up this season and the summer could be absolutely immense. Get a DOF and CEO sorted between now and the end of the season. Get some sponsorships signed and we could push for top 6-10 next year!
  20. So say we hadn't bought Wood, the melt down on here (quite rightly) would have been huge. I think we are light in the striker role but Wood will do a job. We need the midfielders to step up and support with more goals. Howe, you have your squad, please get us out of the relegation zone, no pressure.......
  21. 7 out of 10 for me - its would have been 8-9 if Lingard or Etikieke had signed. I think this was a mammoth learning curve for the new owners but hope they learned from it. Hopefully they will follow the transfer window with news of DOF and CEO and also sponsorship deals. Over to Howe now - he now has a squad with some depth and so we should not be relegated. Good luck Howe and us!

    Jesse Lingard

I think we should just pay the money and concede that MUFC have pulled our pants down on this one. Time has run out and to miss out because of £3-5M when we were going to spend £30M on Etikeke would be galling

    Jesse Lingard

wonder if they are saying to Reims kid. We sign you now and loan you back to Reim for remainder of the season. Then we go and get Lingard?
