  1. There's been a lot of "Woltemade isn't as good as Isak so write him off" lines of patter and it's fucking lifting. No, he isn't, he's a different player entirely, and he's certainly not the 5th best centre forward in the world, so we've got to adapt to what we've got. Secondly, if we're waiting for someone with Isak potential to come along and play upfront for us, we might aswell sack it off now or accept we're going to spend a lot of money waiting for something to stick.
  2. Man City's transfers over the last few windows have telegraphed Guardiola leaving, but for more of a pragmatist/less ideological coach. If they hired Maresca with this squad though, fuck me
  3. Diomande coming towards a year left or something, or just not progressed as expected? He was quoted as having like a €90m release clause or something wasn't he? (Allowing for daft release clause logic too obvs)
  4. I think he meant Simone Inzaghi
  5. Exactly, some people are the same with players. Might as well just wrap it all in and sign a load of shite and be managed by bums* forever. *Feel like it's best to clarify I am not implying Howe is a bum
  6. 🤣 I mean if you're going to stick the boot in
  7. To be fair I was that taken aback I did nearly send a PM asking whoever hacked you to fucking pack it in
  8. Plenty of availability until Thursday. If he was that good a journalist he'd stay there for the next seven nights and get the place bugged
  9. A good chunk, I won't say all as that would probably be harsh, of Man City's failures in the Champions League have been down to him overthinking things for whatever reason. Rodri and Fernandinho on the bench for the 2021 final was rank stupidity but happened essentially because Tuchel was living rent free in his head and he felt he had to do something different to beat him.
  10. Man City are going to just churn through hundreds of millions of quid trying to get something to stick in midfield because they can't individually replace De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan/Bernardo aren't they, in a "Man U never properly replaced prime Roy Keane" on steroids sort of way
  11. I'm amazed they didn't put the ST waiting list into Mags+ only or some other new tier of membership and hike the price to really take the piss, would have been a Peter Silverstone special if he hadn't been shown the door I imagine
  12. Daft bastard is buying Colchester isn't he? Be fucking hilarious when he appoints himself as gaffer and falls flat on his arse
  13. Sunderland 1-1 Forest Fulham 2-2 Villa Liverpool 3-1 Palace West Ham 2-2 Everton Wolves 1-3 Spurs Arsenal 3-0 Newcastle Man United 2-1 Brentford
  14. That is also true I should have said the last five seasons, including this one, but you know what I mean
  15. See also: when my old man is about to assault my brain with some questionable world view and starts with "the Daily Mail said"
  16. Must be class being the talksport intern and getting to read places like RTG all day for material so you can make stuff up to report. Likewise the website that reported us as looking at Mourinho the other day probably just glanced at the Eddie Howe threads on here or spent five minutes on twitter.
  17. Even right down to the specific bit where you can see his ma licked her hand for the bit that was sticking up before he left the house

    Yoane Wissa

£15m Can only presume we've budgeted for Osula's price going up to offset some of that
  19. If I were a flaky team with a history of bottling it/blowing up in the home stretch and was feeling nervous and had little room for error, then this current version of Newcastle United is exactly the sort of team I'd want to play at the minute. We're not going to threaten them much going forward, we're soft as shite in the middle of the park, don't have a great deal of physicality elsewhere, and are basically guaranteed to concede at least one soft goal. But apart from that, Arsenal will be shitting themselves.
  20. Fucking hell, the entire conversation
  21. This is a disgrace from Chelsea, it's great to watch
  22. Liam Rosenior makes the case for a manager/coach who can get a team to do the basics well and be solid and organised better than the likes of Sean Dyche ever could. He is a complete horror show.
  23. For we are mental, for we are mad(ri)
