Be interesting to see what the extra cost is for "Mags+" and what it gets you, to take Spurs as an example their plus option is a tenner more, extra 24 hours access to tickets, vouchers and a spot on the ST waiting list

Aye I discovered this through my lad playing the Tiki Taka Toe game, spend way longer than I should now on this, the bingo and Box 2 Box games every day

They'll hire Jansen just so they don't pay any compo

Was anything ever said about how much we got for the Saudi games? Presumably there'll be a "Newcastle must provide granular detail in their accounts" rule (if clubs don't have to provide that anyway) to make sure we haven't been paid £20m or something for the two games.

We can officially announce domestic free pre-contracts/signings from tomorrow, right?

I'm sure they'll fully get the decision given how prestigious the Conference League suddenly became to them at about 5pm last Saturday. And when they're back comparing it to the Pizza Cup maybe he can go there the season after next and manage them in the real thing.

Yeah, it's because the CL/EL first matchweeks are on different weeks as for the first one UEFA are having CL games on the Thursday aswell, calling it the "Exclusive" week or some other gimmicky shite. And clashes with the league cup 3rd round. So if a CL team drew an EL/ECL team they'd both be busy one of the weeks, this way they won't be. It's a dogshit rule and I'd be all for making everyone enter in round 2 or whatever it used to be and play the kids if they're not happy, but hopefully we get a bit of luck (ha!) and a couple of other good sides knock each other out.

I don't think so, last couple of times I was in either Metro Centre or SJP it was just generic Castore stuff with our current badge stuck on.

Many hours on international duty under Roberto Martinez learning all the tricks of bluff and bullshit

The delusion among their supporters around what they expect to pay for new players and what they will get for the players they want to sell is off the charts, proper swivel eyed stuff

Tottenham game is on "Spursplay" - no idea if you need to be a Spurs member or can just get a free trial then cancel or what though

Think we'll win the Conference League (if we're in it!) and finish 3rd or 4th, top 4 of us, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea
-
Toney has been pretty rubbish since coming back so he's bound to get the obligatory ex-player goal but fancy us to win this with a bit to spare. I don't see Bournemouth as being anywhere other than on the beach though so all eyes on the cup final
-
They have commentators at every game you'd think they'd be able to do an all games on the red button job by now. We'll be getting the final leg of the Klopp wankathon on about 4 channels regardless of anything else though.

Thought us and them were both poor today, one of the worst home games this season. Onwards and upwards, Europe still in our hands. HOWAY THE LADS

If he plays no part at all this week that needs to be his lot, taking the piss now

Free to air UK TV exposure and potentially worldwide eyes on sunderland and they wanted to talk about Newcastle. That's standard mackems but this particular episode will never get old, just another cog in their entire meltdown when the draw was made. -

Tosin hasn't played since it came out he was away has he? Assume its just standard "you don't want to/won't be here next season, so fuck you."

Yeah I agree, I wouldn't want him as Isak's backup at all. Young striker would be great, ideal world for me is probably Wilson stays next year then decides/realises his body will only allow him to be a 3rd choice (assuming we're in Europe the year after next) and he hangs around for another couple of years. Sesko allegedly has a low(ish) release clause but if that's true half of Europe will be all over him, and we we'd probably be doing him a disservice by bringing him in to play 2nd fiddle to Isak.

For some reason I've convinced myself I'm all in on wanting Brereton Diaz as our 3rd striker option if Villarreal will play ball with the fee or more realistically do a loan. Will do the donkey work, can fill in across the front 3 etc, full of energy. Think he's a bit better than being an option for us mind and could easily start for a mid-table side, but then I was surprised he didn't get a PL move when he was at Blackburn. Edit: He was also absolute pony in the Sela Cup last year, even allowing for it being pre-season.
