What we need is to shift out the dead-weight players so that whoever manages us can start with a clean slate, it's pointless while players like Cissé, Sissoko, Colo, etc are lurking around just to take the paycheck. They breed an air of apathy and laziness around the club, the younger players and new signings can't be expected to carry things far without the more experienced players pulling their weight. To be fair I think the signings we made during the summer are good players, but how can they shine when they're fire-fighting in a team already struggling for drive. Most of the games since the start of the season we could have got 'something' from and haven't played as badly as the results/table show imo, but the performances have been patchy and let down by individual mistakes from the senior, can't be arsed players.

On a side note, I understand why the senior players have thrown in the towel, to be honest it has all come about by the club making a concerted effort not to challenge for anything, just to accept mid-table as a target without any cup runs. The players that have been here during that time have given up, they've forgotten how to make an effort because they haven't needed to. SO in the grand scheme of things this still falls back to being the club/Ashley's fault for his previous 'plan' for running the club. Now that they might actually want to make a go of it the older players don't give a shit.

Well, it needs starting at the top. With Lee Charney.

If he doesn't win the next two then. Charnley, Carr and McClaren have to go.

And be replaced by who? And who will be making the replacement decisions, being as they're the entirety of our board management team?

We're a shambles from top to bottom, and the only way that changes is to get rid of the fat mess at the very top.

By the way, why does McLaren still talk in broken English like its not his first language. Far too many full stops in his sentences

It's so irritating isn't it. It's like hes still in Holland and talks really slowly so people understand

Hates wins this bloke.

Looks like he stinks of Lambert and Butler too.

Looks like a chav with the gold necklace he wears.

So how come he has this amazing reputation?

Does he? From what I knew of him as a manager he was average at a load of average to poor teams and had one great achievement in Holland.

Think he was referring to Steve Black.

The coaching appointments looked great, but for a motivational specialist I'd like to hear from Steve Black.

Both Sunderland and QPR were relegated when Black was working for them.

This club does nothing by halves. ;)

I'm somehow still willing to give him time. Don't know if it's because I want him to be better than Pardew and McClaren failing would only give Pardew more praise or maybe it's because somehow I think we've played at times (albeit very short) some type of promising football and I think if we can play consistently for 90minutes we'll turn it around with ease.

Probably the Pardew bit though.

Imagine picking Yoan Gouffran in defensive midfield. Picking him upfront or wide should be a sackable offence in itself never mind in central midfield.

Can only assume the bloke was absolutely off his tits or he's getting a perverse buzz off being absolutely gash.

Never once looked at Gouffran and thought, hmm he looks like he could dominate centre midfield or even dictate play so fuck knows what was going on in their minds. Play him there and 2 supposed centre midfielders on the wing. Surely he would have been better off with de jong dropping in behind Mitro n Perez with Anita, Wijnaldum n Sissoko as a 3.
