alpal78
All of you are crazy, you just can't appreciate talent. Smith puts in 100% commitment and has just been unlucky. Give him another year and he has the potential to be a regular goal scorer. he can shoot with both feet, shoot long range and is even bang on with headers. This post is specifically for Everton fans and Moyes
Conjo
I agree with alpal here. He will become a good player again if given the opportunity. A true 15-goal a season pitbull in the making. Him and Yakubu up front would destroy the PL.

Dr Venkman
in the telegraph now too, come on david, get that bid in... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/newcastle/2509210/Alan-Smith-to-swap-Newcastle-for-Everton---Premier-League-football.html Alan Smith to swap Newcastle for Everton Everton Manager David Moyes is poised to offer Newcastle United £3 million for striker Alan Smith – a move that would save Newcastle around £12 million in wages. Smith joined Newcastle from Manchester United for £6 million though owner Mike Ashley would be prepared to take half that to lighten the wage bill in preparation for bringing in new signings to the club. A deal has been struck for Deportivo La Coruna defender Fabrizio Coloccini at a cost of around £8.5 million, with half that amount to be paid up front and the balance paid off in a year's time. Smith's wholehearted approach to his game has always been well received by Newcastle's supporters but they, like manager Kevin Keegan and Ashley, have begun to grow frustrated with the former England striker's lack of goals. The 27-year-old has failed to find the net on each of his last 37 outings for the club and a poor pre-season has left Keegan resigned to offloading the player. Smith commands wages of £60,000-a-week - a figure that may prove a stumbling block on the proposed move unless he is willing to drop down to a level more manageable at Goodison Park. Should Smith leave St James' Park, Newcastle's small squad would be further exposed. Michael Owen and Obafemi Martins are both struggling with fitness and Keegan has been on record as saying he needs to strengthen in defence and central midfield, as well as adding to his attacking options. Concern over the size of the squad was voiced by Cameroon international Geremi. "We don't have enough players now," he said. "That's the problem."
