Guest teabag
That's a depressing team tbh. Carrick is unrealistic, Viduka is hardly ever fit, Barton is mediocre, and Faye is a squad player. We can't let a couple of good wins paper over the cracks, we still need alot of changes in the summer. Bollocks, complete over haul has never worked. In your opinion Barton is mediocre. For me he's in good form and can get better and better with the right coaching. Do seriously believe we can go out and sign ferdinand and vidic standard for next season? If not that standard what? I suppose you believe someone like Melberg is better than Faye? Us conceeding goals has been down to the midfield not the personnel in defence. us conceeding goals is down to our centrebacks being useless Are Bramble and O'Brien better than Faye and Taylor? If you answer yes you want shot. We performed all right with those two here behind a class midfield. who was our class midfield? cant remember us having one of those ok...so our two centre halves were s**** when we finished 3rd and our midfield was just alreet? we must have been lucky as f*** then! the standard of the league has improved alot since then tbh

Speed, Dyer, JJ at the time were getting us in the top four, or is that not good enough for you now? I believe we played Inter Milan with a back four of; Griffin Hughes Bramble Bernard and drew 2-2 in the san siro dyer and jenas class? i dont think so have a word man. jj was great in his first full season, and dyer played his best football of his career under bobby. our midfield was quality. if we were shite at th eback and avergae in midfield, how did we do so well? can you answer that for me? Kimbo
Dyer was a class player back in them days. That midfield worked, say what you like about it on paper, they were on the same wavelength.
STM
I mean don't get me wrong Speeds over the hill, Dyers a useless injury prone twat and JJ is vastly over rated but back then we were hot as shit. Remember beating Arsenal 3-1 away or Man Utd 4-3 at home? What i'd give to have someone of Acunas talent in our midfield this season.

vicente_14
Did Dunne sign a new contract? I can see him arriving in the summer, along with SWP. Both proven Premiership performers, and both are probably better than what we have in their positions.

La Parka
Steve Sidwell? He's gone off the radar, a good player though. Made the wrong move going to chelsea, like Ben Haim really.
STM
Steve Sidwell? Only if we were to mould him into a DM position. Not good enough on the front foot for me but he has a great engine.

garth
Goal.com wrote: AC Milan veteran Paolo Maldini has revealed he's mulling over whether to join English outfit Newcastle United in the summer after the Magpies made him an offer. The 39-year-old defender has spent his entire career with the Rossoneri, but having said he would retire at the end of this season appears to be having second thoughts. Wholesale changes are expected at Milan over the summer, however, with last weekend's 2-1 home defeat to Atalanta the final straw, and Maldini has been told he won't be appearing for the club next season no matter who the coach is. Milan want to move towards more youthful players and it appears Maldini is willing to abandon his status as a one-club man in order to keep playing for another season. Reports surfaced on Monday that Newcastle United had made the five-time European Cup winner an offer for next season, with boss Kevin Keegan feeling Maldini's experience could help sure up things in the Magpies' defence. "It's true that Newcastle have been in touch," confirmed Maldini yesterday. "It's certainly an interesting offer and one I won't rule out just yet. "My only regret in my career is that I've never had the chance to play abroad and this would be a terrific opportunity to play in the Premier League for a massive club," added the defender, who admits to being extremely impressed by Newcastle's run in last season's Intertoto Cup. Can't believe we would be interested, apology's if has been posted before.

Dokko
Depends on how we intend to play. Bentley is class and would be a great signing but he's a right winger, so wouldn't fit into a 433 system. Shaun Wright Phillips would be more likely and a cracking addition. I think SWP is very realistic given his relationship with Keegan. and the fact he's a bit part player at Chelsea. Think it would do him the world of good to play for us. 37 games for Chelsea this season. 27 starts. To Frank Lampards 29 games. Back in the frame with Grant, can't see him leaving now he's finally getting games.
