So first we were getting £4 million, but Ameobi turned the offer down.  Then it was £3.5 million, but he turned that move down as well.  Now he's moving for £2.5 million!  Hope his legs fall off.

Why the fuck would he turn down Stoke and go to West Brom? £1.5m pissed up the wall because of that idiot.

The solution is pretty clear tbh: he should be made to pay the difference. £4m minus whatever price he goes for  :iamatwat:

Anyway he said it was because he didnt want to move to the midlands didnt he?

He hasn't said anything. Oliver said it was because he didn't want to move to the midlands.

They play better football and have better resources.  Stoke just punt the ball up to the forwards after having seen the success Souness and Allardyce had with that tactic I'm sure Shola would rather play for Mowbrays side who actually knock the ball about.

They can knock the ball about all they like. But when they concede 4's and 5's to Colchester and Sheff Wednesday Premiership strikers are going to have a field day against them.

SSN newsreader said he'd scored three goals for Stoke. ??? Spot on again, then.

Shola had developed the ability to become invisible hence three deflections of others shots.

This has its advantages:

He can guide the ball into the goal from an offside position without being seen

He can use his hand to control the ball without being seen

He can grab hold of people and unnecessarily push them to the ground, yet make it look to the referee that the player has just tripped over his own feet.

Yes, his team mates wont be able to see him, but there'd be a 12th player on the pitch.

I say we keep him.

sky sports:

A source close to Ameobi said: "Shola is 26 now so this is a big move for him and he knows a manager like Tony Mowbray will help to develop him as a player.

"He's over his injury problems now and he just wants to get his head down and play.

"He is keen to get his future sorted so ideally he'd like to get things done and dusted in the next week or so.

"A few clubs have shown an interest but he wants to go to West Brom."
