Ronaldo
find it absolutely incredible that a fair portion of this board was happy to have him in the team a few months back, he's proved so consistently over the course of his career that he is nowhere near a premiership player, never in a million years

Slugsy
I also find it incredible, that despite his performances and lack of match fitness, our current management team believe he is the best option up front!

oldtype
It's really hard to trust management that thinks Shola Ameobi is a good striker and Joe Kinnear is a good football manager.
Pilko
If anything we should have made him earn his contract if he performed well to the season end - and even then it should have been a 1 year contract. That way he's playing for his future. In those first few games under Kinnear he was decent, then we offer him a 3-year contract. That way we won't see any effort until 2 and a half years down the line, when he realises he needs another one. By that point, John Sitton or Dave Bassett or whoever's picking the team can offer him another one after a few more passable, lukewarm shifts. He just ambles up and down the pitch, he knows there's some sort of divine intervention keeping him at the club. Please, Roeder, find a new club, hurry the fuck up, and buy him. The Prophet
Ben Foster became the latest victim of Shola Ameobi syndrome, when he was described as a promising youngster by a commentator the other day. He's knocking on 27 now.
