So who's going to buy the club?

I honestly think Shepherd will be trying to raise the finance, he'll have to borrow like hell to get enough, similar to the Manure situation, but I can see him making a play for it, I hope I'm just spouting my usual crap though.

I am sure there will be plenty offers but will they be enough for Ashley to accept? I doubt it, yeah he put a lot in after he bought the club BUT he has turned into a shit state. Some interested buyers may think he has no choice and might be able to force a better deal out of him but I think he will be happy to own us put no money in and see us go to the dogs.

Owning a club won't make you money though, so I hope its a multi billionaire who does get us.

If he does that tho he's just losing more of his investment and the price he can expect from selling us will go lower and lower.

Nothing actually about gates on the Sun site. Am I being dense and is that actually a wind-up? I mean obviously its not actually gonna happen, but as in it actually being an article?

Well he may not stump up any of his wedge now but he still has to protect the investment to get his money back.  That means keeping us in the prem.

The problem though may not be as simple to solve as throwing money at it. The crowd are disenfranchised, the players are disinterested, the club is in turmoil, it's all a recipe for disaster at the moment.

Apparently the Man City owners wanted us but Ashley wasn't responsive. Cheers pal

Clearly the place is a millstone around his neck.

He's going to make a fortune when he gets shot of us, and you'd think he'd taken in a homeless person the way he goes on.

Insider Info: Sampoerna Group (Putra and his son Michael) are in talks with intermediaries about a bid. Amongst their going concerns is the casino and (now) bookmakers Mansion. The son is a keen gambler, but the father has a massive interest in football. Made their fortune selling the family cigarette company out to Phillip Morris for about $5bil, apparently they're willing to put around £400mil into buying the club and improving the playing and coaching staff in the short term.

Only one billion dollars between the two though, the competition between them to have the most money must be fierce

Well buying us is a sure way to lose out in that sibling rivalry.

Makes me feel sick.

Lucky escape, eh?

Yeah, so glad were not signing players like Robinho and actually have a manager.

Microsoft To Bid For Newcastle?

Was certain I was about to be Rolled there.

Well Microsoft products crash about as often as the Toon so would be a perfect match!

They also bankroll there products to an absolutely insane degree if necessary.  Think they lost about $4 billion on the original XBox and were pretty happy about it

Assets are taken into account so it shouldn't make much difference.  Though hopefully it won't mean his brother will follow him, he probably will and will buy the Spuds, oh the laughs those two will have over an evening game of Premiership Monopoly
