If they are selling him back to us then they shouldn't be looking for more than they would West Ham and co, and us having to fork out enough to cover the 25% would mean just that. The most they'll get out of us is £15m - 25% (£11.25m) i think that is the fee the board have in mind and won't budge on it. WHAM or whoever can offer more £20m say, but Carroll knowing we are in for him won't move elsewhere. If Liverpool want £20m for Carroll and they get it elsewhere we receive £5m anyway, but I cannot see any team paying that, most £15m, and that's were we come in with our 25% off voucher, we may even top it up to £12m just so were doing them a slight favour. At the moment in time the only club they can realistically sell him to is us, they can drag their heels but its their mess, they made him unhappy, they don't want the loan and we all know since the moment he left he wished for his return home. Personally I don't think Carroll would change our play or have any negative effect on how we set up, him in the centre of a 4-3-3 (Cisse injured/rested not replaced, obviously) would work quite well imo without having to resort to long ball. He is decent on the ground and if we are pinging balls about he would be good at holding up and allowing the other 2 attackers to get forward and cause havoc.
